I saw this idea was suggested by someone a while ago. Was gonna add it to my list of mod ideas but it seemed too complex for me. Glad someone made it :)

Works fine on my dedicated MP server now, but a few adjustments would be great:

- Add support for modded skills (e.g., Woodcutting, Albion’s Literacy).
- Add an option to configure how often the XP text appears, similar to Show XP.
- Tone down the green text a lil' bit, or make it match Show XP for consistency.
- Streamline the sandbox setting options,it's kinda cluttered & overwhelm.

Feedback taken, the post-it note doodle is staying (At least a bit longer ;])

I've added a trait display card and a gameplay screenshot to our page so that people can hopefully get an easier idea of the purpose of our mod at a glance. :spiffo:

+1 for "Don't change the art, the crude drawing is perfect as is"

Build 42 compatibility will be our #1 priority once the stable build with MP is out. :health:

Funny you should say that, I’m working on new cover art now. Should be up by the end of the weekend.

Hey Gojita. We created a Bug Reports discussion page to log and track this issue (Alongside any others that may arise.) We can post more there.
Gojita 29 Aug @ 6:56pm
It's Literacy Skill (ID: 3149853052). It's a modded skill, your mod load-order are below the Literacy Skill.

Oh, and it's not a game-crash, errors show up right after I'm in the world.

Removing bug comments from Literacy Skill: A Literature Overhaul crash. To clean up the comment section. Adding the issue link for tracking Github Issue [github.com]

Hey, we'd love to help and try and find the source of the issue here. Hypothetically our mod should work with any skill added. Could you tell me what mods you have loaded on this save and link me to the Literacy mod? Thanks

Interesting I gonna test it!

The mod takes base XP from a generic XPAdd call, hypothetically it should be compatible with any new skills added to the game through mods or by the devs. The base rates are as follows: 1/3 XP gain learnt from Professors/Savants, 1/5 XP gain from players with no positive or negative trait, and 1/8 XP gain from players with the Bad Teacher trait. (Class Dismissed and Dunce players cannot teach.)

Few questions:

- If I have multiple mods with different/seperate aspect/skill (book, fitness,...), does this one is the final multipler or how does it interact with those mods? How will it work exactly?
kris00  [author] 26 Aug @ 8:01am
It may be considered for a future update. :spiffo:
kris00  [author] 25 Aug @ 8:06pm
As of the August 25 2025 update, skill level has no influence on ability to teach. However there are a few traits, such as “Class Dismissed” that influence ability to teach and learn.
Scroobles McDoodle 25 Aug @ 7:17pm
Huh, this seems really neat. However I'm wondering, does it have a sandbox option for setting a level at which one can teach others? I think it would be kinda cool if you could only teach a skill if you're maxed out in it.

Just retried the steam version. It appears the local version we were working on was conflicting with the Steam upload. The mod should work just fine. When you host a server, add this mod in and you should see an "Apprenticeship" option at the bottom of your sandbox menu. You can customize the mod here, start your server, and play with friends! Enjoy!
kris00  [author] 24 Aug @ 2:46pm
The mod is supposed to allow you to gain a fraction of XP in tandem with other players around you. For instance, if you’re fighting zombies alongside a friend and your friend is using a Short Blunt weapon, you’ll gain 1/3 of the XP they gain from using the weapon.

Unfortunately, the mod does not seem to work through the Steam workshop, and we’re unsure what to do to fix it. It works when installed manually, though.

I was just thinking a mod to teach recipes would be great, especially when B42 MP launches since there are so many hard to find ones. Does this do that in B41?
suzinistherealjuno 8 Aug, 2024 @ 3:29pm
woah what does this do????
