xxfiercexx 11 Dec, 2021 @ 8:30am
i get a increase in cpu a little and the same gpu performance
Billy Rising 25 Mar, 2021 @ 7:26am
Also VindictiveJudge is lying.

FXAA doesn't cost anything in performance really, so removing it would not have you gain anything either, i have no idea why someone would claim such nonsense.

He must have restarted his game and it used his actual GPU instead of his integrated one lol.
Billy Rising 25 Mar, 2021 @ 7:23am
StixsmasterHD - Buddy you ever think there referring to the actual visual fidelity?

FXAA blurs your screen out slightly to achieve its effect, better then SMAA while scene is moving imo.

SMAA costs like 0.1% more performance but does so without blurring your image, high shimmering while scene is in motion.

Personally i agree with the dev's on using FXAA as it cons are heavily minimized by the games inherent art design and native texture resolutions, retains the best picture even in motion.

BUT ! if your using a 4k Resolution, you only need SMAA at that point, as FXAA will hinder clarity, hence why this mod here is relevant.

Its an old niche game, those desiring this want to perfect and tailor there image, i personally plan to implement RTGI (Ray Traced Global illumination) by Pascal Gilcher when i get around to it.
StixsmasterHD4k 17 Feb, 2021 @ 12:04pm
I play this game on an old 2009 PC and I mean not only do I cut all ingame graphical options on and maxem out but I also injected ReShade shaders, Tonemap, FXAA + SMAA, Levels, fakeHDR, and Vibrance.

want screenies? im waiting for imgur to get fixed but once it is ill get my screenies online fore you to view.

and note.

I find it hilarious when peeps say SMAA and/or FXAA is too aggressive...like do those same peeps think that CSAA or MSAA arent more aggressive?
at0wa 11 Jan, 2021 @ 1:10pm
I see no difference in the two pictures

TheGrimGriefer: So... you...want them to instead cap their PC spending to like $1,000 and donate the rest to other gamers, then? And not starving orphans with cancer and no shoes? Why do you have to be so greedy?

Anyway, thanks for the mod. Intending to force AA, and this is certainly handy. What a shoddy "remaster" this version of the game is. I've also noticed some really choppy-feeling framerates. Feels like ~20, even though it says it's pretty consistently ~60. Wonder what joy of incompetence is the cause of that. Hope this can help. Cheers.
Orochimaroux 25 Dec, 2018 @ 3:10pm
Yeah why do you want to have the best experience possible, how dare you
TheGrimGriefer 22 Nov, 2018 @ 7:08pm
too all of you who say that you went from "barely 30fps on 1080 to over 60 on 4k"
I would KILL to get a computer like that; why do you have to be so greedy?
emiliano988 4 Jun, 2018 @ 6:44pm
its a great one
MaseDeeAce 29 Apr, 2018 @ 12:03pm
Thanks for this, makes the game much more playable!
VindictiveJudge 23 Dec, 2017 @ 5:57pm
A must have. I went from barely managing 1080p @ 30fps to easily running 4k @ 60fps.
Paul 2 Dec, 2017 @ 7:24pm
thx

Does this mod disable achievements?
EVAC 15 May, 2017 @ 4:35pm
How do you add all workshop idems to the game to use them?
Mr. Giggles 7 May, 2017 @ 10:06pm
Thank you for removing the vasaline from my eyes.
VindictiveJudge 30 Apr, 2017 @ 9:08am
I can not overstate how much this improved my experience. From barely managing 60fps at 1080p to easily exceeding 60fps at 4k, and the game looks better to boot.
sugoi 13 Mar, 2017 @ 5:44am
dude....thank you!!! ToT
HaisoM 7 Mar, 2017 @ 10:40am
Improves peformance and the game may look even better for some ppl like me, I don't like fxaa, everything gets blurrier and less detailed
texadon 3 Jan, 2017 @ 5:54pm
Thanks Jake@Tawranaw my computer is also shit ( @Oni ) and has been crashing whenever I use too much divine intervention XD
NORXVI 26 Nov, 2016 @ 2:49am
Adoknight Official™ Yes - it works on performance level

When I'm playing WITH the mod and there's lots of action - around 20-25 fps
When I'm playing WITHOUT the mod and there's lots of action - around 9-11 fps

Yes - I've got a shitty PC :)
Rage 1 Sep, 2016 @ 4:39pm
like performance wise
Rage 1 Sep, 2016 @ 4:38pm
so can anyone confirm if it actually works or not?

Tony Chupacabra 23 Nov, 2015 @ 1:19pm
How do I install this Mod? I know its probably a super-noob question, but Steam offers ABSOLUTELY no information or instruction whatsover about how to install them. I am extremely frustrated with steam and would greatly appreciate any help.
default_player 15 Sep, 2015 @ 12:52pm
Get this mod if:
You don't see the difference in the quality
You have trouble seeing differences with any AA even
You have a crappy PC

Downloaded and tried it out - huge boost to FPS even when I run chrome and youtube in the background.
TotallyTim 25 Aug, 2015 @ 8:23am
Is it possible to make one that gets rid of shadows? They kill my Graphics.
phaux 23 Jul, 2015 @ 5:10pm
This is very good if you have a low end PC or if your graphics card sucks, It helps a bunch with the framerate. If your PC is not low end and has a good graphics card than this does nothing for you.
Myrcul 20 Jul, 2015 @ 4:41am
Не вижу разницы!:summerghost:
Tom Huaga 17 Jun, 2015 @ 4:30am
Honestly I am unsure about any frame rate difference but the fact the game hasnt crashed since this was subscribed i think makes the difference
keda 15 Jun, 2015 @ 5:55pm
there's no difference lol
Uhyve 15 Jun, 2015 @ 12:47pm
For people who don't get this mod, FXAA is a super efficient blur based anti aliasing technique. Aliasing is the pixelated edges you can see along the edges of objects, anti aliasing is what combats that.

Some people just really don't like the slightly blurry effect that you get from FXAA and force other types of anti aliasing (such as MSAA or SSAA). This mod gets rid of FXAA so you can do that. If the blur doesn't annoy you, then I'd recommend not bothering with the mod.
01 14 Jun, 2015 @ 11:46am
wtf! i cant see the difference on the screenshots =( or the way it should be? xD
♡ Katalina Aryze ♡ 25 Apr, 2015 @ 1:05am
I've never had a problem with framerate or graphics issue... Maybe it's just people with low end gpu's or pc's.
biggn82 25 Mar, 2015 @ 12:27pm
Does this fix the sick feeling one gets from the camera? lol, I've never experienced it in any other game but it's hard to tolerate in this one.
Heart <3 24 Mar, 2015 @ 5:41pm
removed a great deal of stutter i had with the game runs allright at 15-25 fps but the stuttering was bad this mod fixed 95% of the problem =x sutters every now and then depends where i am but it works well
Dragonspirit 20 Mar, 2015 @ 12:32pm
i'm using a 4790K cpu, and 560 Ti. Is FPS only or main concern for reasons to turn off?
I don't see any frame rate issues myself.
Koren 19 Mar, 2015 @ 12:34am
please make something for more frame rates
riku_124 18 Mar, 2015 @ 7:49am
This is the first time ive posted anything on steam really and I was wondering how I could tell if this mod took effect. Any help would be appreciated and and trolling the antithesis of appreciation.
Farlander 1 Feb, 2015 @ 2:36pm
Fable sort of reminds me of TERA. Similar art style, I suppose.
Similar FXAA too...they both kind of suck.
Thanks for making it easy to remove FXAA this time.
