This game is not as optimized for mods as RimWorld.
So I want to send you the MOD patch I modified and add it to this MOD.
Then add me to the MOD as a co producer.
We have successfully added a small version of this turret now.

I'm very new to the whole SE modding stuff but I noticed that maybe, just maybe, the controls are created too early in the init chain of the game session. I have yet to try if binding the controls after the session is ready and ensuring these are bound using a flag will solve this issue.
So in order to use this you mount it to your ship or base and if you grappled onto something you have to delete/grind the turret in order to be able to fire it again. Of course all interactions are broken as well.

Are they just part of the skybox, or real physical things that move and change, maybe can be visited and flown through?
