@Tac_L1bra I don't mind the resolution when it comes to texture compression. That percentage figures you mentioned depend on the weapon mod's file size. If the weapon mod is above 90-100 MBs, I'll usually compress its textures to 25% of their original resolution. Anything below than 90 MBs, I'll go for 50%.

Hello, about the width and height thing you mentioned, is it 512 for 50% and 256 for 25%, correct?

@Nobody The method I use is quick and simple, but difficult for me to explain. You know what, I'll try my best:

1. Convert all .vtf texture files (except those related to Source's lighting and reflection such as phongwarp_steel, exponent, specular etc.) to .tga via VTFEdit.
2. Use XnConvert to compress those files to either 50% or 25% of their original size.
3. Convert those compressed textures back to .vtf and overwrite the original ones.
