Thankyou, for being supporter for the maps. I appreciate it. Also, thankyou for replying to some of the comments about questions or problems they are facing, it's saves me the job, as I'm on a tight schedule at the moment, so massive thankyou for that. 🙏
If you still think the file is a virus, try using a website scanner for viruses called "VirusTools" and drag and drop the file, and it will scan the file for any malware. Just so you can see for yourself there are no viruses in this package.
If you continue to run into problems, please feel free to let me know ^ ^
That will be an antivirus software you have downloaded on your computer.. or the zip extractor you're using to opem the file. thr file dose not have a vitus it's jist model files (mdl) and texture files like pictures ( VTF ) and the base ( BSP ) files for the orginal and "No light" varients of the map
There is no virus contained in the package if you're experiencing problems then.. I'm afriad it's something on your end.. because there's been "5188" downloads from what the file is telling me, and no one else has had problems with the file opening, hope you get it fixed soon, if it continues fell free to add me ^ ^
I'm incredibly sorry to anyone else using this map.. it's a terrible and rubbish port.. and I'm very aware of this.. but at the current moment it's my first attempt and I have no idea how to fix it... If I continue to get comments on the map about this issue and how much it's effecting people I will take down the map from the workshop, as if it's completely broken then I should remove it.
Again sorry about this not being the greatest.. once I figure out Blender it will be fixed as I plan to rebuild it.
Oh right.. yeah I've encounterd that problem.. unfortunatily, I've tried my hardest to fix this issue so many times, but I can't for the life of me figure out a soloution.. and with this being my first map upload to the workshop, I don't know much about "Source Hammer" and there's not many tutorials to turn too or people I can ask for help or guidance.
and I've recently moved to Blender and left Source Filmmaker.. so I may fix this issue in the future when I learn Blender, but untill then I'm really sorry I have no idea how to fix this problem.. When I've encountered this bug I've just took the audio I was working on and built the layout for the shot not working, in a new session through scene build.. It's not after you add more than 3 to 4 lights.. it's some of the areas in the map.. specifically, the show stage, but as long as you find a good location for the light or rebuild the scene it should be fine..
Huh.. most of copyed it wrong or missed a gap when removing the spaces, since I havn't changed anything since we last spoke.. 🤔
The map has a strange issue where any time there's more than 3-4 lights, shadows fail to render for some reason. I've gotten the fixes in the description too.
The link works it's just broken down, all you need to do is:
( 1 ) Highlight the link
( 2 ) Paste it into your search engine
( 3 ) Remove the gaps in the link and press ENTER
The reason I broke up the link is because the first time I tried this Steam suspended me from the workshop for a day.. so I couldn't respond to messages or edit anything.. the page was also in prepeation for turmenation.. I did some digging and this happens because Steam dosen't support links in the description that link outside of steam itself unless verified, and because GoogleDrive is a personal thing that's private, but safe.. it dosen't see it as safe on steam.. because it's a personal and private service for sending files.
If you need any further help see to the video attached to the page, planning on making chapters so you can navigate easily to the picee of information you want
First of all, great name 🤣
Seond, shadow error..? do you mind sending a picture in my messages.. because I don't recall a shadow problem during the long duration of using the map. Are you sure you read the description and added all the lrovided fixes for the map? 🤔
Ahh yeah, I should probably make an updated video about that. There is no key anymore, as I changed the "Broken Down Link" from MEGA to Google Drive, as the decription key wasn't working for a lot of people
Just go into the description copy the Google Drive link and remove the spaces.. and make sure you have everything else downloaded like addons scripts ect.
( Use the video for assistance )
As keep in mind this is the first time of me using Source Hammer so you may run into issues, which I apologise for..
But thanks for the feedback, I'll make a updated video for this page about the link when I get round to it
Happy creating ^ ^
Unfortuantily, I'm not that skilled enough to make it into a Blender port, though that dosen't mean I might not in the future, but don't take my word for it
Yeah no.. 🤣
No problemo, glad I could help out : D
Huh.. that's odd have you tried playing it just through the steam workshop without pressing the link.. or is there a problem when you click the play icon?
I didn't delete all my videos on YouTube, I just privated them all because I left my channel.. you can still access the tutorial videos just via the steam workshop pages for both maps, as there 'Unlisted' simply go up to the top of the page and press the link.. you should be able to access the tutorial as it's always been 'Unlisted' and it's worked for everyone else.
that aside though, thanks for letting me know ^ ^
Sorry I'm new to this whole porting system, and I'm not trained enough to make a model of this map.. perhaps in the future mabye.. but for right now this is just a Gmod map port : (
Sorry I wasn't able to put the link together for you all, but if I did the page would be taken down.. as Steam dosen't like links to external websites.. which makes sense.. they're just trying to protect you, after all... ^ ^
Thanks for the feedback.. but you can load the props into the map.. you don't have to replace the props.. Yikes sorry if you'be been doing that with every map. That's some serious dedication.. and I respect that
But to make your life easier simply:
Load the map > Right click on the viewport > Draw game entities > Other entities
Or record load the map > Press the record button > hit escape after it loads up
Those are two easy methods to see the props in a map without replacing them. I would recommend doing this from now as replacing them all will take a massive amount of your memory, resulting in SFM crashing and being a massive pain a lot for that session.
What do you mean by that
[ OPTION 1 ]
as in the map shows up in the select map window, but the map dosen't load saying "no map loaded" in the viewport..
[ OPTION 2 ]
Or do you mean you can't find the map at all... If that's the case, check the description, as the addon you download dosen't contain the downloaded content. The map is located as a link in the description. Why did I do this? SFM wouldn't let me upload it.. to the workshop, so I found an alternative.
It would be helpful if you watch the whole tutorial, instead of skimming through.. because there's some problems you could encounter with the map.. and I explan how to fix these in the video.
If you still continue to struggle, feel free to add me on Steam, and I'll help you out 🙂
im sorry if this comment is anoying for you becouse cant find that correct place of the tutorial
you can take your time for aswer this question
Watch the video tutorial I've left attached to the Steam page. That tutorial will show you how to port the file into "Source Filmmaker" as SFM wouldn't allow me to upload it to the workshop. Therefore, I found an alternative solution : )
If you continue to struggle then I would normally help people out, but at the moment I'm putting college first before anything else... The only time this map will take priority over college.. is when there's a major problem that needs to be addressed.
If you continue to have problems then add me on Steam, and I'll try to find time, but I can't be certain
becouse i only khow from workshop
The link for the map should now be fixed. Inform me if the problem continues to download the file, but I've created a new link that has permission to the file. So hopefully everything works now
I apologize for taking wo long to fix the link. I've been busy with college recently.. though, I will fix it later today.
I'll inform you when it's fixed
Don't worry I'll fix the link today, and I'll inform you when the map is fixed
Also it depends on what map you're uploading to the workshop. This map wasn't simple to upload to the workshop because it's using custom models and textures from a sepeerate game which means you need to decompile and recompile the textures and assits through "Source Hammmer" for the map to export properly. However, no matter what I tried it resfused to upload therefore, I solved that issue by uploading a random map.. and then pasting a link in the description.
I was orginally, going to upload the SB maps for the attached subscription. Though, I spoke with the map developer, and they don't want the content uploaded untill it's finished which is fair.
But to awnser you're question no it wasn't easy to upload this map. HELL NO 🤣
