If you want to do that much of an alternative route i'd recommend starting in 297 or earlier in 298. Jon Arryn will likely still investigate the bastards and he'll probably get murdered still, leading to Ned being prompted to investigate like he already is in the Game of Thrones bookmark.

Jon Snow still is defintely a major factor in the standard AGOT bookmark though. You can have him desert the nightswatch to rejoin Robb, you can tell him his heritage after dreaming of the ToJ, and if it occurs he will ride south to avenge the Red Wedding.Also if you succeed in the palace coup against Joffrey you can still attempt to crown Jon Snow.

when the mod gets updated will there be events like choosing to let Jon go to the wall/not let him go, or go to kings landing with Robert/not go to kings landing with Robert? That was one of the things I liked about the game of thrones bookmark was it made it easy to set up a Jon Snow playthrough, a Ned lives playthrough, or a Robb playthrough. I hope that continues to be a main factor

duplicate kids are *usually* because there is another canon children system running at the same time ( AGOT+, main mod, etc.) so I can't really tell you which one has the story cycle. honestly dont remember the order of canon children story inheritance anyway. I think it goes to a son if available, then it goes to house head

Hi, also have a question about the canon children feature. For example, I have a double set of Aegon and Viserys (the sons of Rhaenyra and Daemon), the older set was born to Daemon and Laena before she ended up dying of green fever. I renamed the older Aegon "Aemon" and plan on sending him to the Citadel- if I wanted Aegon's children to be born to Jacaerys and Baela, does only one Aegon need to die for the kids to bounce to J and B?

Yeah I'm pretty sure Aegon son of Jaehaerys is in his canon children

mod doesn't currently have any fix for the doctrine of exceptionalism issues with earlier bookmarks. you will need to add it in yourself via denug or I think there is another submod regarding the topic of sibling marriage that enables adding the doctrine dynamically.

Played with this for a year now and it works great! Currently playing around with the early Targaryens and watching Jaehaerys and Alysanne grow up. I will hopefully find out, but I’m curious that for targaryen children who died young, like 3 of Alysanne’s sons or many of Rhaella’s children, do you just have the surviving children set to be born, or should I expect an Aegon before Daenerys?

I have a question. Does this mod allow the exceptionalism doctrine to be activated after the conquest? This doctrine wasn't active before the conquest.

Thank you for your mod—I simply can’t play the game without it! On a side note, do you have any plans to further expand the "Canon Children" mechanic? I’m thinking of covering more houses, not just House Targaryen, as well as some lesser-known minor characters who appear in the original books. I’m really looking forward to it, and thank you again for your mod!

we have the same problem, from the date of the conquest until that of jahearys the targaryens cannot marry each other

I don't know if it conflicts with a certain MOD, but brothers and sisters of the Targaryen family cannot get married.

I think Aenar the Exile covers that honestly. The "Maegor" in the mod isn't the real founder of the family, he's just Aenar's father who would have been from a long line of dragonlords presumably. Either way I couldn't do anything with Valyrians pre-doom

This mod doesn't alter anything ( and won't be altering) anything to do with polygamy, sibling marriage, religion, culture, etc. That is either something from another submod (I would suspect dragon wives since in the base mod regular Fot7 doesn't permit polygamy at all but with that mod it does show that ui for high valyrians regardless of the faith rules) or its just basemod behaviour in these earlier startdates.

I did some testing. Targaryen siblings can't marry in the more bookmarks bookmarks until at least after The Conciliator. They can still marry first cousins though (in 'first son', Aenys's children can marry Daemon Velaryon's children, who are their first cousins). In the 50 AC bookmark, Jaehaerys can marry his sister (and is), but has the same ui as Aegon in conquest starts (1 primary spouse and 3 secondary spouses). By the bookmark for Daeron I everything is normal.

I am having the same problem as RevengeGiaki03. Targaryens can't marry each-other anymore. I've noticed it in the bookmarks for Maegor and young Jaeherys, as well as their corresponding comprehensive dates. I can't marry Jaehaerys and Alysanne without cheats :(. It sucks because I really want to play a start where Rhaena is still alive haha.

very odd. My best guess is that something from another submod or even the main mod is somehow triggering events from agot_events_blackfyre_minor. I use this submod all the time and have never seen it happen it outside of the the blackfyre rebellion so it sounds like a conflict. either way ill just remove that stuff from the mod since the bookmark isn't even playable anymore.

I mainly use the mod for the start dates—for example, starting in 300 or around 130.
The bug doesn’t appear at the beginning of the game.
For the first few hours of gameplay you don’t notice it, even if you’re at war.
I’ve noticed the bug creates a pop-up every time I move my troops (it disappears before I can read what it says). After some time, I start getting 2,000 prestige on every movement.
My opponents also get 2,000, so I end up with the Free Cities having over a million prestige because they’re constantly fighting.

sounds like you were probably playing the first blackfyre rebellion bookmark from Bookmarked which still triggers the broken content that was disabled in More Bookmarks

This mod was causing an issue for me. Whenever i would move my armies, every time they moved an event would half trigger about me defeating a kingsguard in a duel and give me 2000 prestige sometimes. It would pop up and go away, not fully loading. I went through my load order and after trying a bunch of mods, turning this one off fixed it. IDK if it was conflicting with another mod or what but yeah.

I dont really remember the code but if I had to tell you, I think the first choice is the primary heir. After that, its any male child, and then after that its the house head.

I'm working on a better version of this mechanic so that's less of an issue.

Question about the canon children feature- say Viserys II dies as a child of illness, do his canon children bounce to Jace as the house head heir if Rhaenyra is too old? Or would it wait until Rhaenyra is dead?
