I still don't understand how to get Living without picking the research manually and using a research point. It just seems completely random. And i'm not even sure HOW to use the ability in the first place, I just use it near corpses and it sometimes works.

Can you add a little bit of info about how knowledge absorption works? It is NOT clear at all.
