Characters with a non-default ref, such as S3LF-Eater, still can't be selectable in the character changer, they can only be spawned.
A solution to this would be using the NEM port mod and enter the character changer from the cheat menu.

@3650 Aiden Walker Yes, it can be spawned. But due to a game "bug" the S3LF-Eater and other non-standard characters still can't be selected in the character changer.

Made Gestalt spawnable in this update. The clockwork robots were already spawnable.
Gotta love it when devs take away stuff from us without warning.

@stephiemouse05 The game recently had a silent update that allows those types of characters to be spawned again. But they forgot to also make them available in the character changer.

@8-bit Sentry A debug character that was used by the devs. Same with the Crackpot that's right next to him on the list.

Characters like the Employers, S3LF-Eater and Gestalt are currently bugged and can't be selected in playground, despite enabling them. Hopefully they will fix this in a patch.

Drones are automatons, not characters. They can't be spawned in any way. Same with robot arms, Ghouls and some major bosses.

The mod list is the button with the gear on it on the left of the main menu. Are you not on the beta branch?

@nicolasdemns2 Subscribe to this mod and enable it in-game in the mod list. For extra measure it's also recommended to restart the game after enabling mods.

The S3LF-Eater not working is a known issue with the game which will be patched in the next update. After checking it seems the Employers suffer the same issue.

@Toast Man Let me guess, when you try to change into him you turn into a Grunt with red head? If so then you have to pause and restart, that will refresh you. Changing into characters was always buggy in this game.
