I've been mired for months in other things.
SCS has been pushing out new content so fast; my other mods are breaking :(
This mod, though incomplete, still works; so it waits . . .

I confirmed that it's the Realistic Brutal Graphics and Weather mod by Kass that is causing the RR crossing lights to not illuminate. I did this be testing each mod I use, so I'm 100% certain. Total bummer!

Idk, in my game RR crossing lights not flashing too.. maybe some graphic mod?

Update: It's definitely not this mod causing issues with the lack of RR crossing lights not flashing. If anyone has any ideas what would cause this, please let me know. Thanks.

I love this mod, but has anyone noticed that the RR crossing lights aren't flashing while trains are crossing? Could this be mod related? I haven't had this happen until recently and I'm not sure why. All other lights and graphics seem normal.

Blocked crossings are not fixable in this mod :(
SCS's map is designed for their trains (short). About four places exist in the map where long trains block crossings; you found one;)

workarounds include:
- teleporting past the crossing,
- setting [g_traffic 0] then [g_traffic 1] in developers console,
- disable the mod :(

Sure would like if this got some developer movement. It works for me but all I ever get are tank cars, box cars and grainers. I know intermodal stacks are bugged re: textures but I also don't ever see any auto racks or mixed trains. Anyway, this is better than the other long train mod - that one conflicts with MUO, which is a non-negotiable mod for me. Your models are better too, you even have ETDs ;-)

One suggestion would be to have the Canadian Pacific version's textures reworked to have the CP logos on the long hood sides plus alternating numbers, CPKC livery version, and safety stripe on plow version (CP 9751, 9758, 9777, and 9782 as they appeared post-Unstoppable)

I don't know much about paint_jobs, other than SCS and some folks make really fancy ones for trucks and trailers. IDK if it's possible to apply a paint_job to an AI model, but that's what I'd research.

wdym 'proper paint job'? I did actually attempt to put one of my VTC's containers on there and the stripes still turn out funky. Seems like only solid colors work afaik

That sort of worked? My guess is you can only do solid colors though. I tried a basic stripe scheme to test and it didnt work out.

for future reference (irrelevant to dds files), when SCS includes hex color strings in their sii and sui files, the strings are reversed:

HEX RGB e6abcc = SCS BGR ccabe6

SCS uses 8-digit BGR, where the first two character represent color opacity:
hex 00 = decimal 0% (100% transparent),
7F=50%,
FF=100% (opaque)

To change container color, change the color behind the logos in their respective files.

To obtain real-world logos and colors, the web has tons of information.

To change container brands, edit contents of \vehicle\ai\train_cars\[SCS_brand].dds (don't change the files' names).

I tried using "Improved Trains" by POWE®FULL™ and his newer updates crash ATS for some reason while following the suggested load order he provides, not sure why but I've had that issue the last few recent updates with ATS not agreeing with his mod.

I'm aware. I haven't yet included the Level of detail (LOD) models, so the game renders full models at all times. It'll takes several months to include them :(
