As for Iron Curtain, yeah, more about the Cold War experience :) but true, a little boring unless you start an invasion every 5 years. (invasion of small weak countries of course :( you don't want to start WW3 too soon by attacking a Nato/WarsawPact country)
I almost played SovietU till 1990 recently (almost no crash), I stopped at 1980 because there isn't the dissolution event and doing it myself was boring :o (as I took all industry events for Russia SSR, I would still remain at the same level of strengh in army, navy, air force, economy, just that I would have to make lot of economies in 2 years)
