So does this work for the base single player campaigns? I've been trying to get it to work with no luck, but I might just be missing something.

Very cool mod, but there is a bug, when you drive a vehicle and it is destroyed during the battle, you cannot select units, and when you manage to even select them again, you cannot take control of another vehicle again.

Hi , If my tank is blown up when I'm in third person mode, then after that I can't allocate a unit.

Ok this mod works more consistently since the update. However, when playing Sklrmish (3v3 5 AI) it still doesn't work. Works fine when its 1v1.

this mod works inconsistently for me, sometimes i click the button and it works, bust most of the time it doesn't work.

i mamaged to fix it i just need to go into safe mode then go to safe mode no mods reinstall the mods in the right order and then hope for the best and my hopes become real and sorry for the terrible english if it was terrible

@Heart of Stone check my mod in the workshop. Dont make it a button but just make it a hotkey.

Kudos to the author for getting this thing to work in the first place. Mod works perfectly fine in singleplayer or skirmish, but unfortunately causes immediate desyncs in multiplayer.

I thought about making the infantry's third-person view switchable with buttons like a vehicle, but after trying many methods and consulting many other professional modders, I still failed. I had no choice but to make this kind of timing. The way to close it is because the "human.inc" of the infantry is not like the "vehicle.inc" of the vehicle. There is a parameter that can be executed by pressing the button. Regarding the issue of 30s duration, I personally feel that 30s is very appropriate. A longer duration will ignore the control of the overall battle situation, and after the time is changed to infinite, you will not be able to exit the third-person mode.

I released an extended version of this amazing mod by Heart of Stone! The infantry timer is set from 30 seconds to 999 seconds.

@Hollenwulf I just got done converting many of the major mods to use this addon. Ill see if I can make Direct Control longer as an addon for everyone.

Having the enhanced third person view lasting only thirty seconds for infantry makes absolutely zero sense. Why would I want that view in a limited time frame? Make it a toggle, and it'll be far better.
