looks like your right, although, i made this pack when i was just starting on "Modding" Garry's Mod. So of cause it's bound to have some issues, i just don't know weather it's somethinf that i wan't to change or even if i still have the origianal files anymore. anyway i'm planing to port this m4 over in a new CW:2 pack, and that will of cause fix the m4 overlap (i'm going to rename the model files).

I found the problem! It turns out that the M4 of this mod and the M4 of the Modern Weapons pack are overlapping each other. A fix for that would be to for example rename the M4 in the modern weapons pack to something else. I fixed it right now by disabling all the modern weapons packs and this M4 and then reenabling them. This did indeed remove the M4 from the MW pack, so it's simply that they are overlapping.

I miss this gun. I think that the model and the animations that were used in this version of the M4 were so much better than what we have in the full pack today. I'd actually refuse calling the M4 in the new pack an M4, it looks more like one of the horribly generic M16A4 models that can be seen in almost any weapon addon out there, while this one was quite special, couldn't be seen anywhere else on the workshop. I hope you will one day bring this gun back to life, I'd love to see that.
