any, no matter what type. ill test it again, might be AGC's ships that are the issue.

Shouldn't be, you cant place it on any ship type or some kind of specific one?

i dont seem to be able to place this into the aux slot, only the normal utility. does this have to be somewhere specific in the load order?

Its just a 10% shield hp modifier, I could have made the crystal plating just giving hull hp % modifier, but thats boring. The problem with vanilla crystal plating (in my opnion) is what it had a very odd place to use where you either use it to produce cheap glass cannon ships, or use it to combat bypass weapons, while sabotaging your overall ship surviability to everything else. So here I think I came up with an elegant solution to fix both. If you want cheap ships with semi-decent survivability you can fill ship design with tier one armor components and add crystal plating. If you want more defense against bypass weapons you can just add some armor (or go full armor) and add crystal plating aux on top.

Just an idea(if ya havent tried that already ofc).... ya might wanna check how the shield booster auxilliary works. maybe you can figure out how to add its funktion to armor instead?

@Dr.Democracy Its due to technicality, I tried everything to try and make it work in design scope, but sadly it was not possible to detect other components applied inside ship designer, so I decided to make it work based on how cloaking works, which checks ship scope for shields components and disables them for example or keeps them if its psi shields and a psi cloak.

Ah right! :steamthumbsup:that’s what I get for not reading the component description 😂

The Hull increase will not appear in ship designer it will apply it after you construct the ship though

It should be unless some other mod changes values of vanilla armor (NSC3 does not)

Hmm. It doesn’t add armor values as described. I assume I should load this after NSC3 or am I wrong?

Love it. Thanks for making an NSC version.
