Agree with most of the people here. Modders deserve respect, yes. No one should be harassed for something done for free in their free time. But there's no reason to just nuke all your own work because some people are mean. Why punish the majority because of the vocal minority? This is the internet, despite some people thinking this is specifically a PZ thing, no this is a human thing. You will never publicly do anything ever without SOMEONE giving some completely unnecessary backlash, it's just how the world works, and is exemplified with the anonymity of the internet. So why ruin all your hard work and screwing over the majority who liked your work, by nuking it all?

I have nothing but respect for modders. We get mods for free at the end of the day. But I do question sometimes "why the mod was removed out of nowhere?" Would be nice to get a warning before deletion somehow... So it wouldn't be such a pain sometimes to track which mod caused the server to collapse. But then again I guess mod owner had his own reasons.

Mod authors do deserve respect but why should the rest of us have to pay for some people being dickheads?

And what obligation does a mod author have to listen to your complaints for something you got for free?

PZ's community isn't toxic in the slightest lmfao. Modding communities don't like it when mod authors nuke their entire modlists, because its a manual action that the mod author has to take, often times seen as being completely unnecessary. Nothing at all is preventing a mod author from discontinuing updating a mod and its not like they have to perform upkeep on a mod that they've abandoned, in terms of both updating and other resources like hosting with bandwidth.

Solved by manually downloading it through steam console and putting it in C:\Users\User\Zomboid\Mods\

I subscribed to mod, but It doesn't appear in my mods folder and I can't find it in mods list in game

Please don't abuse modders for providing free content. You don't know what they're going through in their personal lives. If someone up and deletes their entire body of work, they must've had a legitimate reason to do so. There's no need to hurl insults and call them names, even if you're doing so in jest. Modders aren't some faceless programming machine, they're people too, and they should be respected for the work they've done for this community.

Why would someone be so selfish as to delete every Mod that they ever made? That's terrible.

Amazing to see how entitled people are.. a guy makes something for free, shares it for free, people choose to use it for free, And when its not working anymore, death and destruction is cast upon the creator(s). This is the absolutly best way to get people to stop making or sharing mods in the long term.

So happy with build 42 I won't need this mod anymore, steam workshop modders always get into the most random bs sometimes
