Man... I tell you I've seen this mod for years and never been able to see this as anything others than a colon full of poo. We need to find another picture for this mod xD

Hello, just informing that it seems this mod has no Biotech DLC dependency in the about file, making it's possible to load in base game without detected but it will lock you in Scenario menu
Otoya 22 Jul @ 9:33am
this mod is unnecessary in since a fix happened in 1.4 - the order doesn't matter anymore.
E1S4 11 Jul @ 8:42am
I have 182 mods and this was the first one to be updated to 1.6. Impressive. Glad it still works for 1.5 because I ain't updating for a year at least.

The mod should be working in 1.6 version as needed
TheSexyYeti 25 Jun @ 12:45am
Thanks for updating this mod RussianGolden. It's appreciated.

I'll see if I can port this mod to 1.6 as well

Very useful mod. Removes a frustratingly obtuse mechanic and keeps genetic inheritance meaningful. Thank you for the re-upload!

Ah, good to hear!
Vulkandrache 9 Apr @ 1:47pm
I found the reason for why, it was the fault of another mod.
♥-Goldie-♥  [author] 9 Apr @ 1:44pm
I'm not sure what are you trying to say, Vulkandrache...
DeathDealer7266 9 Apr @ 1:04pm
nice mod, the metabolism roll for babies is stupid, just make it a flat 50/50. perfecto. i was wondering why my kids were always stuck with the bad genes and rarely any good ones from their parents.
Vulkandrache 18 Mar @ 7:21am
Are you able to answer questions about this mod even after just porting it to 1.5?
Because i am never seeing any pawns with inbred,
which should not be possible in my current colony.

I was about to ask about the turd but.. read the comments.

The thumbnail was taken from the original mod, so I had no intention of replacing it with something else. To make it recognizable, you know.

@Dr. Quackers M.D ; @RussianGolden
At the risk of being told "duh", I think it should be an unpacked chromosome, where genes are stored in the nuclei of cells in the real world.
♥-Goldie-♥  [author] 10 Jan @ 10:17pm
I also spent a lot of time wondering about this.
Dr. Quackers M.D. 10 Jan @ 8:39pm
why is a turd the main pic for the mod

Ik I'm incredibly late but since some of you requested Offsprint Inherit Xenogenes update back then, you can use the continued version made by Mlie (he's a chad.)
Thought I should post it so I can put my own mind at ease. :meepyikes:

It isn't a 100% inheritance even with xenohuman+baseline human. It is a bit complex though.

By default it randomly picks one parent as a primary parent and another as a secondary parent. First ALL the genes from the first are added. Next a random % of the secondary parent's genes will be added, if any of those override the first they will take priority.

For a baseliner this means you have a 50/50 either get a 100% pureblood of the other xeno, or what will on average be 50% baseliner 50% the other xeno. If you wanted baseliners to mix better you'd have to add all the "basliner" genes to them. E.g. Human Hands, Human Jaw, etc. It bloats up the interface a bit though.

It is admittedly a weakness, but it results in far better hybrids when mixing two xenotypes.

Late as heck, but I just happened to see your comment and figured I'd respond. :)

Thanks for the answer. I installed it, and so far it's working great. Maybe you could call it "1.5 update". :)
♥-Goldie-♥  [author] 8 Jun, 2024 @ 5:02pm
Hm... You're kinda right about that
You only need this mod, you don't need the outdated one, sorry for the confusion, I should probably change the title...
Ghaladh 6 Jun, 2024 @ 12:24pm
The name you gave to this mod is confusing: is that an actual "patch", so I'm supposed to install the older version of the mod first and then add this one, or is the complete mod, updated to version 1.5?

I use this mod along with Consistent Gene Inheritance, that should help your problem
Also sorry for the late reply, I stopped getting any notifications about this mod

So uhh, confused as to which mod that tries to fix rimworld babies is better for keeping all of the parents genes in the baby. Mostly because I tend to play colonies with like a single xenotype, and hate hate hate how the genes are randomized and occasionally missing entirely. I just want the babies to be of the xenotype I'm playing as but the game goes "nah here's a baseliner with 225% metabolism and all of the bad genes all the cosmetic genes are also missing". Its just I've used this mod before and it didn't seem to do anything.
EvilNecroid 8 May, 2024 @ 5:20am
i have 2 parents with the same genes and there metabolism is +1 and it keeps saying that stupid error that the pregnancy failed because of some retard gene limit.
does this mod fix that? does it remove both the upper and lower metabolism limits? so if i made something with more then -5 and was really hungry or something with more then +5 and barely eats it can still have babies?
Khalagar 1 May, 2024 @ 10:52am
Is there a way to make it so your pawns always inherit the full genes of only one parent, with a 50% chance to inherit that parents genes?

For example, if I had a xenotype focused on planting with white hair and white fur, and a xenotype focused on construction with black hair and black fur, and the two breed, I would like a 50% chance to get the white fur planter or a 50% chance to get the black fur constructor, but 0% chance to get a white fur constructor or black fur planter etc

Is that possible?
itmustbethursday 26 Apr, 2024 @ 6:50am
The better gene inheritance mod results in baseliner-xenotype hybrids inheriting all the xenotype's genes (instead of 50/50 chance) - would love to see an update of Sea's other mod ! thanks so much for doing this one :)
♥-Goldie-♥  [author] 24 Apr, 2024 @ 10:57am
Oh yea, I use this one, too.
I wanted to recommend you to try it but I felt like it would be wrong. xd
BusyRaptor375 24 Apr, 2024 @ 12:24am
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3046776238 this mod does kinda the same thing as the one i requested earlier
♥-Goldie-♥  [author] 23 Apr, 2024 @ 10:24am
Alright, I heard you guys. I'll see what I can do!
Learn 2 Noob Gamer 23 Apr, 2024 @ 7:08am
Agreed. The two mods together allow me to keep my super pawns expanding!
Frank 22 Apr, 2024 @ 9:57pm
Nicely done, thank you for updating this mod. And I agree with BusyRaptor, love that mod and would enjoy seeing it updated as well. Keep up the awesome work!
♥-Goldie-♥  [author] 20 Apr, 2024 @ 4:58am
@BusyRaptor375 We'll see!
♥-Goldie-♥  [author] 18 Apr, 2024 @ 10:05am
Yw! But please remember that it's all thanks to Sea for making this in the first place.
It's my first time doing something like this so I'm a bit nervous. I'd rather not take any credit. :meepdrool:
CZeus 18 Apr, 2024 @ 8:19am
Thanks for the update ❤️
