Anyway, can you just think of it as a bad Blade Dance that can be super effective against certain enemies? Shiv flood is a cost that can be mitigated with good draws and Unceasing Top.

oh, you're right, i was adapting skills. my bad. also as for streamline going from 2 to 0 i believe that happens in the base game (?) because i recall using enlightenment on streamline and it went straight to 0 cost. if that's not your scenario then idk

@paradoxica I just found a bug where Streamline becomes 2>0 without using up Adaptive. But Everything else you've mentioned seems to be working as intended. Are you sure you're not using skills? The current version of Condition only works with attacks.
Maybe I should rework them anyway though.

anyway as for condition i think it should just check the energy spent by the card instead of trying to determine the cost since that clearly doesn't have the intended synergy with setup

ok i see what's going on. you have coded adaptive to behave like echo form, so that if the player already played a 1 cost card before playing adaptive, then adaptive will not trigger for that turn.

i think the big thing i was keying out in my memory is that a card zeroed by adaptive doesn't trigger condition. i don't remember if this was the exact thing that stuck out to me but it feels right.

i think cards that are snecko'ed, streamline'd, setup'ed, enlightenment'ed, and establisment'ed do not count towards the 1 / 0 cost triggers

The tooltip of Stealth could've been "As long as you are in Stealth, you have 3 additional Dexterity. Lose 1 Stealth whenever you play a Skill". I figured the current version would be more precise and helpful for understanding the interaction with Unpredictable but I’m not sure. Red Skull has a simmilar description after all. 🤔

Heya, amazing mods, I really love the art, I did notice some really REALLY minor text inconsistencies when compared to vanilla, these are really just nitpicks so feel free to ignore them

Red
- "Unleash" and "Infect" doesn't have the "Posses" keyword tooltip or highlight
Green
- The "Stealth" tooltip doesn't have blue numbers and yellow keywords (Dexterity, Skill, Stealth) (also imo it's a bit confusing for a single card)
Blue
- "Heavy-Duty" says "Power" when I think it should be "Powers"
Purple
- The "Common" tooltip doesn't have curses in red (or yellow, it's inconsistent across powers, cards and relics) and statuses in yellow

I really enjoy what the cards add to the silents arsenal. However, it appears that "Condition" might not work as intended. Using tools of the trade alongside it strips the card of its usability, as it neither triggers when a 0 cost is drawn, nor when a 0 cost is discarded.

Your art is so lovely! I especially like the composition of Condition and the way it mirrors the Ironclad's Intimidate. It goes without saying that they fit it incredibly well with the base game, and I appreciate you taking the time to make the art for these cards :)

I really like this modpack, the art is great too! (can't imagine how long that must've taken)

Some minor feedback though, maybe the description for "Deft Strike" and "Poise" could be tweaked a little to be more consistent with the rest of the game, as in removing negative dexterity and positive dexterity.

- Deft Strike's description could be:

Deal 4 damage twice.
Dexterity counts as
strength for this card.

Or:

Deal 4 damage twice.
Deal X additional damage
for each dexterity you have.

(You wouldn't really need to say that negative dexterity doesn't affect this card, though that could be a nice way to balance it more because Silent has great dexterity scaling as is)


- And the description for Poise could just be:

Gain 7 block.
Not affected
by debuffs.

(Since negative dexterity and frail are all the block debuffs already)

But at the end of the day, it's your modpack, you do with it what you want. I enjoy it as it is already :D

Came here to point out wicked gift didn't count as "discarding a card" for triggers like Sneaky Strike, only to see your PC troubles. Sorry to hear it. I've never made a StS mod, but I'm guessing it can't be too hard to patch this myself. right?

Can't promise the purple mod though. Watcher's card pool looks too delicate to tolerate extra cards. I'll try but it will defenetely take a while. Let's see if I can make it before StS2 is out.

No not really, I was just curious as you can tell that a lot of effort is put into these mods especially in the art to the point that a friend of mine who's played little of the game could not tell modded cards apart from just the artstyle. I'm excited to see what you cook up for the Watcher pack if that's ever gonna happen.

Usually around 4 months?
- Many months for conceptualizing/design (I take my time here because this is the most fun part)
- 3-4 weeks for coding/debugging (Some cards only take a few minutes. Other cards require days of struggle. It can be much faster though. I'm terrible at coding)
- 2-3 weeks for art (I've got used to this style! The first mod took me much longer)

Think of Condition as a simple AoE attack. Trigger it twice and it's 8 damage for 1 energy, which is reasonable in act 1 and only gets better from there. It also gives your Shivs a new ability to handle multi-enemy combat, one of the biggest hurdles for Shiv deck. It makes Thorn less scary and Shiv + Calculated Gamble combo more doable. And it's never totally useless because you always have a Neutralize.

Poise may be niche but the number of debuff users is surprisingly high. 12 out of 41(?) enemy species use either frail or dex loss. If you have a Wraith Form, the ability is much more relevant.

i gotta say, the art is so on point with the StS style, really amazing.
and i love the idea of (Unpredictable) so much.

But to give constructive criticism, and please know this is all coming from a place of love...
i find some parts of the pack mod cards not good in the sense that:
1- The card effect is not worth-while to add to your deck and use (especially when you think to yourself "where is this cards place by the later acts of the game?" or "what issues do these solve?")
2- The card effect is *extremely* niche (looking at you (Condition) / (Poise) )

Yet another banger pack with amazing art... really cool. Adaptive seems a bit odd since you need to play a card and draw it again but everything else is cool. I hope one day we may see the final pack.
