awesome, thanks! i recall seeing a couple buildings that i thought would make sense to build with slag since i first suggested it but unfortunately i can't remember them off the top of my head; i'll let you know if i come across them again tho

Added that patch for Scrap Metal Walls. It's optional (toggle in the mod settings). Let me know if you think of more things that should be buildable with slag.

Thanks for letting me know! Looks like Roots updated their XML so the patches were no longer working. Should be fixed now. (Make sure you have the latest version, sometimes Steam refuses to update until you unsubscribe and resubscribe, sometimes more than once.)

love this mod for my tribal runs, but a small issue, the candles/torches from Roots of Rimworld are calling for 20 to 50 stone chunks, like it changed the blocks to chunks, but still wants the original brick amount.
It worked for the urns and stool from the same mod, and there's a patch operation to change the cost for the torches, so it looks like it should have worked to me, but I don't know why it's not working or what to do about it, just thought I'd point it out.

A nice stoneage alternative. :)

Ooh, I've not encountered that mod, but sounds like a good idea. I'll look into it. I can't think of anything else off the top of my head, but I can definitely make it an option.

is it possible to add the option to build some crude metal objects from slag chunks as well? thinking specifically of the scrap metal wall mod, but there are probably other things that could use slag chunks too

Vanilla Furniture Expanded had an update, so the stone campfires changes need to be looked at.

Could you add the stone campfire to the list of build-ables with this mod? Always annoys me that i need cut stone for a simple campfire.

Getting some errors from this mod related to Alpha Biome's slime stone chunks, as well as glimmer chucks from the stoneborn's delight mod, and another named "BMT_chunksand" which i'm not familiar with.

Should do if they work similarly to vanilla stones.
Specifically it checks for chunks that inherit from the vanilla chunk base that can be cut into blocks that inherit from the vanilla stone block base.

Does this automatically work with modded stones?

Does this still allow them to use the blocks as well if they are available?
