There are many different styles of of bow that could be considered a 'horsebow', I chose to model one based on aesthetics which were most interesting from a first person perspective while trying to make it from materials and methods which would be possible during the time. I was also constrained by the limitations of matching the extremities of the bow to the existing one and also using the animations of the existing bow which don't completely match that of a horsebow.

This is not actually a medieval bow. The leather wrapped horsebows the author probably used as an example are modern fiberglass bows. Not medieval bows, just modern clones of older ones. A real horsebow looks fairly different. Too bad it's in the game now....

These weapons are just cosmetic replacements for other weapons (in this case shortbow) I don't know when torn banner will start adding them into the game but I think It's early next year.

You can't yet, it was part of a contest but I belive you will be able to buy it in game like the current weapon varients at some point in the future.

Yarnu, it's in game, sort of. It's not equip-able but it's attached to a posed character model in game. To do this I opened one of the maps and dropped all the items into the world from the content browser (mason archer, helmet, bow arrow etc) Then there's an red dot icon along the top toolbar towards the right which turns on socket snapping. Click the item you want then click the character model and choose which socket to snap it to. To pose the character you need to assign it an animation set and specific animation in it's properties (under skeletal mesh and animation) you can get the name for these from the socket previewing thing. Hope that's some help!
