Alright I've updated the bull texture, the mod should be more visually cohesive now.

That way, it would feel more natural.

How would you suggest going about fixing it, @Gaon? More similar coat patterns, right?
Gaon 28 Sep, 2024 @ 12:49am
It seems that others feel the same way, but cows and bulls appear to be different species.

Do you mean because they don't have spots? It had crossed my mind that it may not have, originally my plan was to have more textures for each, but that idea had to be scrapped when I couldn't figure out how to code it. :/

I wanted the male to be visually different from the female at a glance though, which in hindsight might not have been all that necessary since other animals, like pigs for example, are just pink blobs from way up high.

This is a really good mod, but I think the ox texture doesn't match.

@Thundercraft i said that because they look a bit like but no it's not the norman breed the normand breed is a bit like a the female one but the male is way different

Honestly I'm not sure which breed it is, I think you're probably both right, I took inspirations from cow pictures online that looked to me like the most generic possible cow; It is fully possible I'd have taken inspiration from two different breeds.
I guess cow breed is in the eye of the beholder at the end of the day.

Many thanks for the kind words @Thundercraft. I was thinking maybe they were a bit too dark for the vanilla style, but no one left me such feedback yet so maybe they're alright.

Is it the Norman breed? By my eyes, it looks like the common Holstein breed (makes up about 90% of the dairy cows in America).

BTW: Good job on the texture!
