I will take a look at it and see what I can do. Might take some time only a 50/50 chance of getting it fixed.

Beautiful job on the ship! I'll never be able to make something like this.
Brenner  [author] 8 Apr, 2015 @ 11:34am
The drone bay is not meant to be depressurized, ever.
The drones and even that mini fighter are small enough to fit entirly inside of that giant airlock, between the two large gates.

Provided those mod doors are airtight (haven't tested that yet, but they sure look like they should) there shouldn't be a problem. And even if they turn out to be not airtight, one should be able to easily replace them with 3 stock airtight hangar doors.
Judgernaut 7 Apr, 2015 @ 5:28am
Also one problem with Hyperion... the drone bay doesent have an airlock upstairs. So even if I did get the ship pressurized, which I cant cos some mods are bugging out atm) Using drone bay would cause the upper levels to loose oxygen :F
Judgernaut 2 Apr, 2015 @ 2:25pm
With small ships you only have to connect cargo with the cockpit and then fill cargo with oxygen bottles and that'll work yeah. But Hyperion... its too perfect for half assed... take your time. Know that at least I will happily be (if a little anxiously) waiting.
Brenner  [author] 2 Apr, 2015 @ 2:08pm
Hmm, thats true - pretty much all ships on the workshop lost their "survival ready" status with the new update. Maybe I'll just do a half assed solution for now: provide the unproblematic ships with fully oxygen system, the problematic ones just get a oxygen generator to refill oxygen bottles.

Easy enough for large ships. Refitting small fighter ships though, with their limited space and all?
Well, I suppose we can just store a huge amount of oxygen bottles in the cargo containers of our old ships ...

Judgernaut 2 Apr, 2015 @ 1:29pm
Looking at the patch looks like oxygen is pretty much mandatory now... alotta ships just became outdated :P But I do see your point
Brenner  [author] 2 Apr, 2015 @ 1:14pm
Thx!

I actually do plan to add oxygen to this and some other ships. However, after failing to refit my Revenge Assault Frigate - a much smaller ship than this one - I have decided to postpone this plan for now. Oxygen still seems a bit buggy: I managed to supply the upper deck of the Revenge with oxygen, but for some reason some parts of the lower deck lose air. And the funny part is: the parts of the lower deck that have air and the ones that have none aren't even separated from each other, no doors or anything in between them. Just a sloped corridor.

Windows seem to have some issues too. I'll wait with my refits until oxygen works better.
Judgernaut 2 Apr, 2015 @ 12:24pm
Hey, this ship is so absolutely perfect that you have to add oxygen production please! I tried to do it but I dont know the layout of the ship well enough. So much detail in this ship that it is begging for oxygen.
ReZiiN 22 Oct, 2014 @ 1:09am
I love this ship. It so detailed with a functional layout this ship is a work of art.
j. 12 Oct, 2014 @ 2:32am
This Is Freaking Awesome :D, i even found a duplicate me inside
Reverend Revenant 5 Oct, 2014 @ 11:54am
That must be a loading glitch
Happened to me once where I downloaded my own thing off the workshop.
And then again when I saved it whilst in Spectator mode
Viyhexe 5 Oct, 2014 @ 9:13am
Either way it scared the hell out of me when I saw it. It was just sitting right next to the med-station, staring at the door.
Brenner  [author] 5 Oct, 2014 @ 5:40am
Static astronaut model with your name on it? I had that too once, in a totally different ship. Must be a some kind of rarely occuring bug.
Viyhexe 4 Oct, 2014 @ 11:58pm
Love this ship. It all looks a lot more livable than most SE ships you see. Though I'm just wondering, is there any reason I found a static astronaut model with my name on it in the med bay?
Miwabou2 4 Oct, 2014 @ 6:57pm
Wait,pioneer flagship,what does that mean?
Reverend Revenant 4 Oct, 2014 @ 6:42pm
Incredible design and beautiful lore

@ The Master

No, Hyperion is a god, get your damned facts straight.
The Master 4 Oct, 2014 @ 5:21pm
For the record, Hyperion isn't a person, it's the evil corporation in the game.
Orinoco 4 Oct, 2014 @ 5:16pm
I literally cannot open the game world without my system freezing due to running out of memory :(

Those screens look absolutely gorgeous, though.
TankinatorFR 4 Oct, 2014 @ 8:52am
Awesome ship with an awesome back-ground story. That's what I call a great job...
Brenner  [author] 4 Oct, 2014 @ 6:23am
Also, if anyone is interested: I just made a Interior Design Guide on http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=321774466 , explaining how to create a interior like this one.
Brenner  [author] 4 Oct, 2014 @ 6:20am
Yeah, the Hyperion is a ship in Star Craft, also there is one in EVE, one in the X-Beyond the frontier series, there is also one in the Star Trek universe, also a real world container ship. There is also a saturn moon by that name. And it seems he is also a character in Borderlands - never heard of him because I didn't play the game, but I assume he must be a rather tall guy as Hyperion was originally one of the ancient greek titans.

Never expected to cause that much confusion with the name, I thought most people knew that "Hyperion" is just about the most common name for a Sci-Fi ship ...
r.zarth 4 Oct, 2014 @ 2:23am
i love this ship, its very detailed inside.
BUT !! The Hyperion is Raynor´s Flagship, so is was expecting an Heavy Terran Battlecruiser
Lanik 4 Oct, 2014 @ 2:12am
Borderlands? Is that you?
The Great D.P.S.S 3 Oct, 2014 @ 9:41pm

Huehe just trying to mess with you Lord Kentucky!
geebs 2 Oct, 2014 @ 9:47pm
Is this borderlands of some sort?
Lord Kentucky 2 Oct, 2014 @ 7:39pm
TheRedSpy115, you sound like an idiot... in fact, you are one if you think the name Hyperion came from Borderlands. Google it and educate yourself.
Wicc0 2 Oct, 2014 @ 12:38pm
Beautiful :) mind listing add ons used ?
BreezeRider 2 Oct, 2014 @ 6:25am
Nice work, reminds me of Hyperion in EVE. :)
Sherlockinater 2 Oct, 2014 @ 4:59am
Have not downloaded it yet, being on my crappy on-the-go laptop. Already looks better than my space frigate. Except the bridge, I am dam proud of the bridge I built.
WiFiN 2 Oct, 2014 @ 1:16am
Awesome interior and exterior. Though there are still infilled areas throughout the hull - would be awesome to have some vent ducts there :P
Lachlan 2 Oct, 2014 @ 12:16am
COOL LOVE IT

ハイロポン 1 Oct, 2014 @ 7:17pm
@Brenner Lovely work, by the way. I love that you got into it and came with a backstory.
Sorry so many commenters felt like dumping buckets of autism into your comments, though.
Mr. No One 1 Oct, 2014 @ 5:54pm
Cool made-up backstory, if a but unnecessarily thorough, but im sad you don't seem to be a fan of the Hyperion book series, by Dan Simmons.
Democracy Enjoyer 1 Oct, 2014 @ 4:34pm
Looks just like the shitty Gallente ship from EVE.
Tesla 1 Oct, 2014 @ 3:54pm
Needless to say, this is an impressive designed ship. Perhaps, one of the best designed ship i have ever looked into. And thats not it, you designed it after one of my favorite ships from EvE (Guess what kind) . You are on my whitelist !
={TTB}= Ryo 1 Oct, 2014 @ 3:41pm
Great ship. I have to ask though, was it by insipred by EVE online's hyperion battleship? they look rather similar
Brenner  [author] 1 Oct, 2014 @ 12:24pm
@-=V[-]X the Sergal=-: nah, sorry no rails. I used the closest thing to rails there is in the game right now, a piston next to blast door blocks. Don't know why the devs take so long to implement rails, they were already contained as unfinished blocks in the game when I bought it half a year ago.

Brenner  [author] 1 Oct, 2014 @ 12:18pm
@ハイロポン: the angled blocks belong to "Hammerman Decorations (Maintained by Shaostoul)"

@Antihero: you are correct, the hangar is really damn tight. It helps a lot to move the welder bot into the other position (there is a switch to move it on its piston). Should have saved it in the other position.

@[s.w.d]cmj2003: loads of mods. Just download the ship, hit "Edit Settings", then "Mod" and you can see the entire list. There you can use "Open in workshop" and download the ones you like.
Brenner  [author] 1 Oct, 2014 @ 12:18pm
Still @Vegathron (stupid text limitations)

I'm planning to write a "Interior design guide", describing some of the techniques I used in this and my last ship. Too complicated to explain this here, I also need pictures to properly explain that stuff. I'll put it on steam and the "Community Creation" subforum of the offical forum when I'm done.
