Biosculpter Treats Organ Decay

@domimomi, I believe this mod is compatible with some other Biosculptor mods, but not with the Selective Bioregeneration.

This mod works by patching extra list entries into the building's "CompBiosculpterPod_RegenerationCycle" comp, but Selective Bioregeneration removes that comp entirely and replaces it with Selective_Bioregeneration.CompBiosculpterPod_TargetedRegenerationCycle.

Hi, I get this red error on startup:
[Biosculpter Treats Organ Decay] Patch operation Verse.PatchOperationAdd(/Defs/ThingDef[defName="BiosculpterPod"]/comps/li[compClass="CompBiosculpterPod_RegenerationCycle"]/conditionsToPossiblyCure) failed
file: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\3193460140\1.6\Patches\Biosculpt.xml

Is this mod incompatible with any other biosculpter mods?

is there a way to also let it remove a regeneration coma if the pawn is no longer "dead" after a medic/regen cycle?

Any chance you could also do a mod that makes Biosculpters cure Chemical Damage to brain and kidneys (caused by excessive drug use/tolerance).

@Ilyvion I've not tried it much beyond testing for this mod, but it looks like its a sickness that affects an organ such as a kidney or heart. It does not look like by default the sickness can be removed but once it hits 100% it will 'kill' the organ. So in the case of the heart, you will want to find a replacement before then.

@SpaceMoth Aha! That would explain it! 😁 I didn't realize organs didn't decay in earlier versions. I guess this mechanism is different than, say, getting a bad back, eye cataracts or atherosclerosis, then? I thought those were "organ decay" as it were.

@Ilyvion Oh right! Organ Decay is a new condition added in 1.5 and is not present in version 1.4. Basically can make one of your organs start to fail and give it a limited lifespan before it stops working and needs replacing.

@SpaceMoth Yes, as somebody who is a modder, I'm well aware of this. But my question wasn't why 1.5 was supported, but why *only* 1.5 was supported. The current version that most people will be using right now is 1.4.
Space Moth  [author] 1 Apr, 2024 @ 5:39am
@Ilyvion there is a beta branch available for Rimworld to preview 1.5 without any of the DLC, provided to allow modders to support the new version before the official release.

ilyvion - You're right, you should totally be able to biosculpt away that Organ Decay in 1.4 too.

It's one thing to support 1.5 already, but to *only* support 1.5 when it's not even released? That's kind of odd. 🤔

Huh, that makes a lot of sense. Great idea!
