@ archieharris2011: Already have done!!! The Nexus version is all one package and also has scripts to make smithing a bit more of a challenge (you have to find old examples of the armour to unlock its smithing). I haven't answered any questions on Nexus for AGES but the content is the same as what's here (other than being in one package and with scripts) :)

Awesome mod, really good looking armours. Whiterun guards look a lot like Dawnstar guards. Any chance of getting a unique armour for Whiterun? I'd suggest the leather armor studded with steel plates from Norway. (think Game of Thrones: Northmen heavy armor)

I went to Whiterun on a new file, saw a guardswoman and I fell in love. She looked extra beautiful in your this armor. I am basically in love with all the guardswomen now.

Your Guards of the Hold addons are great! It really adds variety to the game, but time to time guards armor appears black then it goes normal again. :steamhappy:

@ thesimphany: Thanks! Yes, bright purple or blue is a missing texture problem. Easiest thing is to check your load order (put this mod last), or delete your local copy and re-download it (unsubscribe, delete the files, resubscribe) :)

@ GENERAL DER ERDNUSS: It's not essential. The only thing is that any guards already in your game will stay in Vanilla kit. There is a console command to respawn them but you have to go round each guard individually.

hey i have a question. i know that you already answer this question but it is really necessary to start a new game when the guards still use their old kits? because i really like your Mods but i dont want to start a new Game (again).:wizorbneutral:

@ Da WarBoss: You'll have a mod that puts Lydia in Whiterun guard gear, which is conflicting with this one. Change the load order and you'll be fine.

For some reason in replaces lydias armor with this too and she wont equip anything else.

@ Awaitke Steam workshop doesn't allow files of that sizes, check the nexus for his complete mod in 1 file or just you know click subsribe on the 9 mods here on the workshop.

The models don't work for me. Tey just look like a big black mess and i can only see it when litteraly standing a cm infront of the guard and when i move away again it dissapears.

@ Wilhelm Hammer: That doesn't sound like this mod, but another mod conflicting. Make sure this one is at the bottom and all should be well. The Siege of Whiterun has a few scripting bugs anyway, so it might actually be a Vanilla problem :)

by the way, during the siege of whiterun, the guards revert to their default armor. you may want to fix that. otherwise, this mod is amazing, and so are all of your other ones! keep it up. (i think it would be interesting to find some way to make a mod like this but for the thalmor).

I am really enjoying this series of armor, do you have a single mod that changes all of them?
Also, some helpful hints for people who install it after starting the game.
'recycleactor' after clicking on him will reset the guard, but he'll be naked (he'll most likely disappear to his spawn point). Doing a 'resurrect' on him will put him in guard armor.

@ luca_privat: I agree, but think it is something a bit beyond my skills at the moment. Probably due to changing the texture files, but I have had it happen on the unmodified ported meshes. As it happens some times and not others, it could well be a gneral incompatability between the Witcher parent items and using them in Skyrim :(

Awesome Work. I really like your Mods but you really have to fix the issue that the armors appear black from far. Half the time your Whiterun Mod works but the rest of the time my Whirerun guards look like they are into some kind of wierd bdsm stuff. The other city guard mods seem to work quite perfect though

I really like how the armor is now more historically accurrate, and less fantasy styled because 90% of the vanilla armors are just impractical.

@ JSweetshare: Do you have any mods that affect guard kit besides this? Put this mod lowest in your load order and start a completely new game - if that doesn't work then something odd is going on.

@ D3Israphel: I don't think that's got anything to do with this mod! Sounds like something has gone really wrong, though. Maybe a new game would fix it????

I'm having a problem where everyone is getting knocked backwards as if a dragon landed near them and its wierd because everyone in Dragonsreach except for Irileth and the Jarl's children are getting knocked back.
