Hey, I made a mod that makes the Black Death more random, and someone asked for me to make it compatible with yours. If it's not too much trouble, would you mind adding some global variable on game start that I could use as a trigger? I've created a workaround for the time being, but I'd rather be able to actually have a variable or something from this mod to call on.

@Dorf, are you saying players should test other mods prior reporting :O
It is the sole duty of mod makers knowing which mods the players have installed and pinpoint exact issue /s

To be fair, I really wish pdx launcher had built in mod compatibility checker.
So used from mod organizer 2 with its built in compatibility checker. It immediately tells which mod is overwriting another. Unfortunately no support for Paradox games
Dorf 31 Jul @ 7:40pm
lmao at people STILL not testing mod conflicts before reporting issues.
FunGaming44  [author] 24 Jul @ 3:45pm
mod works perfectly fine, you might have a different mod overriding this one
sjtimmer7 24 Jul @ 5:10am
I just got a plague. Does this mod still work, or did something go horribly wrong?
Beli 20 Jul @ 11:22am
Any way to have the black death enabled? I enabled the mod until 1300s because i was tired of the popus but now I tried to disable it for the big plague and oh god.. I don't think you're supposed to disable it mid run because tens of major and apocalyptic epidemics started to pop out everywhere
FunGaming44  [author] 21 May @ 2:39pm
i just checked your correct that mod can not work together with this one even if you place this at the bottom of your load order playlist, it's because of the spelling of the file. like if a file has as example Zzz infront of the game then that gets loaded last even if it is not at the bottom of your playlist. Paradox logic is something strange lol
sbudy 21 May @ 1:06pm
I've found the cause, it's the Witchcraft mod that has a workaround this mod (Plague spell). Just posting it here in case somebody else encounters the same issue... Sorry about the pestering.
FunGaming44  [author] 14 May @ 11:05am
no idea friend works and has been working perfectly fine for me and everyone else
sbudy 14 May @ 11:00am
Nope. This time I didn't even have to wait sixty years. Consumption epidemic broke ten years after the start of the game. The values on the file are not read. I have no idea why,
sbudy 14 May @ 9:41am
As far as I've seen none of my other mods are overwriting the same file (06_ce1_epidemics_values.txt). I'm trying to copy it into the game directory and run without the mod. Will update here if it works.
FunGaming44  [author] 14 May @ 8:49am
most likely a different mod causing issues with this one
sbudy 14 May @ 8:39am
Nope, it just does not work. It's at the bottom of my playlist. Starting on 867. At 930 - Measles outbreak.
FunGaming44  [author] 12 May @ 11:22am
run this one at the bottom of your playlist
sbudy 12 May @ 10:08am
The mod does not work for me. I'm running it with more mods so maybe there's some clash, but the fact it that I'm still getting the measles epidemic with the mod. Version is 1.16.1 and the additional mods are Witchcraft, No More pregnancy complications, Immortality improved, Infinite Wards, Positive Giant Trait, Cheaper reformations and no male pattern baldness.

Is there a way to have this mod and still get the Black Death, but nothing else? I still want to have the Black Death happen.

@sperlilreps82 No idea why because nothing was changed in the last updates regarding the file touched in this mod
sperlilreps82 9 Nov, 2024 @ 8:08pm
I've tried over and over again but I'm unable to get this mod working like it did before the last update.
FunGaming44  [author] 9 Nov, 2024 @ 4:04am
@SigmaLX (ELK) Everyone knows unfortunately that doesnt really work that good and plagues still happen with it
samuel.stewart1984 8 Nov, 2024 @ 11:40pm
I too would like to know if the mod applies to the new Restore Roman Empire decision that increase plague event exponentially?
SigmaLX (ELK) 8 Nov, 2024 @ 10:06pm
for anyone curious, there is a game rule that changes the frequency of plagues and you can turn it off, i don't know it was added with RTP, but its there now.
FunGaming44  [author] 23 Oct, 2024 @ 3:06am
This mod does not have a game rule, should be working perfectly fine unless one of your other mods modifies the same files.
HonestChanges 23 Oct, 2024 @ 1:38am
Day off today; booted up CK3 and my Realm is riddled with disease? I have only this Mod, Faster-council-tasks and Rajas Mod subbed. I activated this mod in game rules also so I was wondering if you could help? Thanks for Great addition
Shadilae 20 Oct, 2024 @ 2:36pm
fuck plagues fr
FunGaming44  [author] 14 Oct, 2024 @ 7:51pm
IF it was already running then you will still have it, mod doesnt work until the next time it happens
Tal 14 Oct, 2024 @ 12:38pm
Just installed it and plague event still appears. Can it be broken?
Aldrnari 7 Oct, 2024 @ 1:25pm
Does the mod apply to Restore Roman Empire decision that increase plague event exponentially?
FunGaming44  [author] 5 Oct, 2024 @ 1:04pm
patch is still working, nothing in this mod got changed in latest patch update might be a different mod breaking this one
rocketman120 5 Oct, 2024 @ 11:48am
Heads up, but the plague event reappeared to me on the latest hotfix, it might have broken this patch.
Emericus 5 Oct, 2024 @ 10:45am
Excellent mod
DaringDo 3 Oct, 2024 @ 10:26pm
thank you so much:steamthumbsup:
Samurai 27 Sep, 2024 @ 2:16pm
Please make a version that keeps the black plague!
TheLoneWanderer 27 Sep, 2024 @ 2:10pm
@Fun - you mentioned earlier that you may create a variant of this that does not eliminate the bubonic plague, I would love to see that if you had the time or inclination to do it. Thanks
FunGaming44  [author] 26 Sep, 2024 @ 8:28am
yes you can but it will take a bit of game time to pick it up
Lera 26 Sep, 2024 @ 5:31am
Are you able to add this mid-game or does it have to be a new one?
Bordric 24 Sep, 2024 @ 4:19pm
Thanks bro!
FunGaming44  [author] 24 Sep, 2024 @ 11:40am
update now available, have fun again
FunGaming44  [author] 24 Sep, 2024 @ 10:45am
update will be coming soon, I'm currently working on updating all my mods
[SN]Mike28282 24 Sep, 2024 @ 9:52am
Hi! Does anyone know if this mod is compatible with the latest update?
FunGaming44  [author] 23 Sep, 2024 @ 2:09am
This mod should not disable achievements that is correct, you should still be able to get achievements those with not getting achievements must be having another mod causing that
orangulain 22 Sep, 2024 @ 9:33am
Update from downloading yesterday - this mod does NOT disable achievements which I have seen mixed messages about. I took the risk anyways because I couldn't stand the plagues and I still ended up getting "Fine Print" achievement. So all good.
Klyph 21 Sep, 2024 @ 4:18am
Does anybody know off a mod that just reduces plagues by like 50% or so? im ok with having plagues etc, just not this many ffs... Im now playing as the kid whos entire family got wiped out by a plague, literally the last survivor and now his new family is also dying all around him in his old age and just his grandson is left.... and he's a genius so the game is def. gonna kill him..
zillahnothings 13 Sep, 2024 @ 4:37pm
read a comment below that is incorrect. it does disable achievements unfortunately
SKJoar 6 Sep, 2024 @ 1:45pm
not working
Bootleg Chauncey 2 Sep, 2024 @ 12:15pm
God damn thank you for this mod, the constant disease spam is so incredibly annoying.
Darkstar 29 Aug, 2024 @ 12:03am
this mod is a saving grace. so tired of plagues devastating my games again and again.
