I was thinking something on the line of name your ships with "fleetsomething" and they will follow at a distance the one you command within that fleet. The you can command them into different formations (diamond, straight lines, arrow, and so on. It can be difficult with large ships, as they probably collide)
Both ways will work. Just tell me what you find more usefull.

it it is so, I think it can be done .
Example:
X:79 Y:-123 Z:37
-When this remote controll block is reactevated, the ship with this block is flying directly to this position.
-you can organize the remote controll blocks via timer blocks to tell a ship to pass this positions (activating a new direction will overwrite old ones)
