Klee - Sounds like your game is having issues, L4d2 in general seems to be hit n miss when it comes to mods on l4d2 now, I have had people have similer issues, Even i have had some of these issues you have, Yet others report it fine and working, It's just one of these things something either works or it don't, Sorry this does not work for you, So many of the workshop mods have issues now pending on what you use

I did what you did, it still not working
At first, when I go to Options > Multiplayer, everything would just be frozen, had to close with task manager

after doing the steps you shown below, it wouldnt be frozen but I cant see any of the sprays(unless it only 1 spray)

Martes - I would it's the game or updates fault, Simple fix to sort this is -

1 - move your addons folder to desktop

2 - uninstall the game

3 - delete the l4d2 left over folder

4 - reinstall the game

5 - move the addons folder where it originally was

Now the game should run fine, Doing this can fix a host of problemss from sound bug crashing the game, Mods not working right anymore etc, All the patches from the devs have know to cause alot of mods not working for everyone, In different ways, And some not even working at all, Hopefully this will work for you.

classic gamer - you can also extract the mod and put the sprays in a custom folder and simply located it in game if you wished also.

classic gamer - No all same type, I would back addons folder somewhere, uninstall l4d2, delete the l4d2 left over folder, reinstall l4d2 and move addons folder back, and it should be golden again, Thats the only solution that seems to work for me and has helped others, Steam updates are forever making mods work fine for others and not others or not at all sadly.

MEXTROPLEX_PRIME - Then it's a case of the program under win11 wont work properly, Normal sprays should work fine, But spray maker i got off banana maps isn't having it i guess, For me it shows 1 or 2 sprays or none, Same for you ? Only way i can suggest is -

1 - move your addons folder to desktop
2- uninstall l4d2
3 - delete the left over folder of l4d2
4 - reinstall
5 - move addons folder back to the original installation folder to save redownloading and syncing

Should work fine then, Shouldn't be a problem downloading with speeds today, That's the cleanest way to solve any issue with the game today, If nothing then, Then i would unsub this, I have never had an issue till reinstallation of win11, The program acting up, Heck this util i use hates win10 and refuses to boot, I need a new gif tool to make em, For now ill leave this up unless other people have issues too, If it still dont work for you, I am very sorry, I will re do this with another tool out there.
