As much as I'd like to, unfortunately its not something I have the time to do anymore.
UnknDoomer 25 Aug @ 3:56pm
You mean "Brothers to the End"? Closest thing for now, I guess, but not the direct port in case of a plot.
DaveOfDeath  [author] 25 Aug @ 9:00am
Probably not. There is a Genesis-esque project in the HK workshop though.
UnknDoomer 25 Aug @ 4:57am
Rather a bit of a random question, but still. Do you, perhaps, one day will cover Genesis version as well?
Rodjir 17 Aug @ 11:01pm
Thank you!
ledeir  [author] 17 Aug @ 7:24pm
Glad you have it.
Otherwise I was going to send you an old key I had lying around in hopes it still worked :P
Rodjir 17 Aug @ 7:18pm
Wait I do have it lol.

I'll check it out I'm not terribly far along on my ugc
ledeir  [author] 17 Aug @ 7:14pm
Yeah, Dragonfall Director's Cut is better and it does have all the Seattle assets.
(Its also regularly on sale)
In my opinion, its definitely worth upgrading.
Rodjir 17 Aug @ 4:33pm
is dragonfall director's cut better for making custom content? does it have the seattle assets?
Rodjir 17 Aug @ 4:29pm
Ok I have figured out what has happened. This game is in the Dragonfall Director's cut.

I have the regular shadowrun returns which has dragonfall in it.

I have been trying all day to figure out why it is that your mod isn't showing up and that's the reason lol.
ledeir  [author] 16 Aug @ 11:44pm
100%
DaveOfDeath  [author] 16 Aug @ 10:42pm
There was also a bunch of mappers and tons of help from playtesters over the years.
ledeir  [author] 16 Aug @ 9:28pm
Yup, I led the project/scripted, Geeked did the art, and DaveOfDeath made all sorts of extra special scripting magic happen.
Rodjir 16 Aug @ 9:17pm
That's so wierd I don't have any idea how that happened lol.

I see that there's multiple creators do you guys collaborate?
ledeir  [author] 16 Aug @ 8:38pm
Huh... Someone mirrored the old Deadman's Switch Alpha version...
I'm not going to report them or anything, I'm willing to bet it was an accidental publish.
(I did leave a polite comment though)
DaveOfDeath  [author] 16 Aug @ 7:47pm
Old, Alpha, and this one are all the same project.
Rodjir 16 Aug @ 5:36pm
It took me a while to find it i literally couldn't find it on steam for a while it comes and goes for some reason.

There's this one which I was thinking i was going to start playing.

There's one that's called Snes reboot OLD VERSION which i haven't tried.

then the one I actually did try was called SNES Reboot Alpha Version

and the author's name was foxtrot or something like that.
Geeked  [author] 16 Aug @ 2:42am
Armitage made one I think? Similar maps and less close to the og game
ledeir  [author] 14 Aug @ 6:19pm
Huh... What other reboot did you find?
Rodjir 14 Aug @ 5:42pm
I played a Snes reboot and it was a different one i told you how excited I was to play yours and I played the other one lol

I'll play it here soon can't wait!
ledeir  [author] 12 Aug @ 6:49pm
There is one place to get the sunglasses. There is one place to buy (or kill for) the badge.
You can change your clothes in multiple places though.
If you have those two items in your inventory you can put them on in the bathroom in the morgue, or anywhere that has a bed.
Or are you referring to something else?
(I'm a little tired, so its entirely possible I misunderstood your question)
Rodjir 12 Aug @ 8:55am
wait i'm confused are there two of these?
ledeir  [author] 10 Aug @ 7:28pm
You need to be wearing both the sunglasses and the badge.
You can put them on in the bathroom in the hallway leading to the morgue or in your apartment after getting them.
Common sense gun reform 10 Aug @ 6:10pm
How do you get the tickets outta the morgue? Seems to glitch with the sun glasses portion. They run into the back room and get locked.
ledeir  [author] 30 Jul @ 6:10pm
Have fun!
Rodjir 30 Jul @ 1:52pm
will be running this one soon can t wait
ledeir  [author] 24 May @ 9:17pm
Valid point, I did say it would be a lot of work :P
I was focused on the dialogue.
DaveOfDeath  [author] 24 May @ 8:31am
That won't translate any of the text expansions, or coded speech bubbles... And I suspect there are a lot of those.

Nexus files (like their steam counterparts) are published. You could decompile them or like Ledier said access the GitHub. To decompile them. You'd need the editor setup and functioning... But you're going to need it anyways if you want to manually translate the speech bubbles throughout the game.

Text expansions is system variables, I do not believe those would translate.

Our github link is here: https://github.com/ledeir/srrreboot
If you need help with github, shoot me a friend request and I'll help you in DM.
Syrael 23 May @ 2:31pm
The folder contains only a lot of convo.bytes -files. I guess Nexus is really doing some magic here.
Would be nice if you can help me out with Github.
ledeir  [author] 23 May @ 1:52pm
1. Download the zip
2. Inside the zip navigate to: SNES Tenth Street Demo/data/convos/
3. You should see a bunch of .convo.txt files
4. Open them with your text editor of choice.

That being said, its entirely possible Nexus is doing something I don't expect to the files... If that's the case I can point you to our source on GitHub...
Syrael 23 May @ 6:42am
Cool. Thx :)
ledeir  [author] 23 May @ 5:52am
I'll double check and let you know tonight.
Syrael 23 May @ 2:34am
Okay, I just downloaded it from Nexus, but most of the files are .bytes.
How do I open them in the proper way or am I missing something?
ledeir  [author] 22 May @ 6:29pm
The good news is that it is technically possible.

The bad news is that it would probably require a significant amount of work from someone who is fluent in both German and English. It is not something we would attempt.

Such a person could download the raw version of the mod from Nexus and then run through all the conversation files swapping the words from English to German. The actual process is straightforward, just time consuming.
Syrael 22 May @ 6:33am
Is there any way to have this translated into German? There was an SNES version which is german. Are there any files with translations or something? Would be glad to help if needed.
ledeir  [author] 19 Apr @ 6:46pm
Glad you got the gear, hopefully things will be easier for you now!
Don't hesitate to ask questions if you need to.
And thanks for letting me know about the spawning. I'll add it to my list...
Gilbals!? 19 Apr @ 6:24pm
Ok, I do that and I get stuff, but the spawning bug is still a thing, and it doesn't matter how fast I end a combat. Even in the apartments, I can kill the 2 in there in 1 shot each, take 3 steps to leave that area, and they respawn on top of me. It's a definite bug.
ledeir  [author] 19 Apr @ 7:50am
The original game definitely had some areas which were confusing and lacking direction, the beginning was one of them. Probably why it gained cult status instead of widespread appeal.

Follow the ganger you talked to immediately in front of the morgue, he'll lead you to the weapons.

The restaurant respawn while you are still there is probably a bug caused by the fights taking longer without the gun. (They respawn on a timer)
Gilbals!? 19 Apr @ 2:51am
Am I dumb or is something wrong or I don't know? I never beat the old SNES game. I barely played it. I walk out of the morgue, talk to the dude, talk to some people, let the dog out, follow it to a loop where I get attacked, end up back in the main area, get attacked, go in a restaurant and find a key and a note, get jumped, about die to a mage and gunner, leave near death, walk out, get attacked, almost die, go back with a key to check the apartments, get attacked, die.

I'm playing on Normal, is there a pistol or knife or armor I can get before I start getting magic and bullets in me that almost 1 shot? I feel like there's no direction here. Was it like this on SNES too?

Also in that restaurant, if I explore it after fighting the dudes, they just spawn on top of me again immediately and I die. Is this just broken or is it supposed to be like this?
ledeir  [author] 14 Apr @ 8:43am
I hope you both enjoy it!
donstarlancer 13 Apr @ 5:16pm
Oooh nice. Can't wait to check this out. I grew up loving the SNES game as a young teen.
shake 13 Apr @ 4:12pm
Thank you for all the work. When I was a child I wanted to play it on SNES, but could not find a copy. I look forward tothe story. Realy Thank you!
ledeir  [author] 7 Mar @ 9:33pm
Glad you got it working! Have fun!
The_Bane 7 Mar @ 2:43pm
@ledeir The prop pack was the issue. I had to un sub and resub to get the prop pack to install correctly.
ledeir  [author] 6 Mar @ 2:31pm
@The_Bane - Its been a while since we've seen any can't start messages!

Usually that happens because Geeked's prop pack hasn't been subscribed to or it hasn't downloaded yet (its large so sometimes it takes a while)

Let me know if that helps. If it doesn't I'll dig through old comments to try and identify other possible causes.
The_Bane 6 Mar @ 10:56am
I can't start it with either a new character or the default character.
The_Bane 6 Mar @ 10:02am
I can't play this. It just continually shows UGC loading. Anyone run into this and have a fix?
erazerhead99 9 Jan @ 5:52am
Ok, THX.
ledeir  [author] 8 Jan @ 7:15pm
I'm sorry to say that we have no plans to adapt the mod to the Hong Kong engine.
Last I checked the process was rather involved.
