I can't seem to find this map/world when I look for it in either advanced setup menu or in the "normal" settings menu. can anyone tell me why this is happening or maybe the author?

If there were the 4 kingdoms as CIvs, I would totally dominate them.

How big is this map? What's the maximum and minimum sizes?

Hi, I'm having trouble getting the mod to work. I've subscribed to the mod and enabled it in the game mod menu, but the map isn't showing up. I ran a search on my Steam files for the map data, but the only file I can find is: the world of remnant (v 3).civ5mod

I tried pasting that file into the maps folder, but that didn't change anything.

Is the game not unpacking that file correctly, or has Steam failed to download something?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

This looks great, I can't wait to use it in game. Do you have any plans to expand on the RWBY theme and create civilizations, units etc?

You should try making one or more RWBY civ mods for this map. Then maybe people could reenact the massive war that they mention in the series.

It seems like one possible problem is that Steam likes to save custom maps to the mods folder rather than where it is supposed to be. To fix this, go to the folder where Steam downloads the mod (this should be something like "My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's civilization V/Mods" by default), open the "The World of Remnant" folder, and copy the contents to Civ 5's maps folder ("C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Sid Meier's Civilization V/Assets/Maps" by defualt).

Ok thank you. Also could use exsisting countries in the game to make a scenario for the map. For example America as Vale, Egypt as Vacuo, france as Mistrel and germany as Atlas. Just a suggestion either way great map.

Ok to make sure it is just a map there is no scenario. Im asking cause i did fiddle with the files and i did get the map to load but there was no scenario wehn i click on the map.

Just do what I do, when a map doesnt work from a mod. Just go into your mods folder, look up the particular mod, and copy and paste the map file into your maps folder. BOOM now it works.

Can we get a manual download for this? The workshop is derpy and wont download the mod for whatever reason

Guys, you have to go into Documents, My Games, Civilization 5, and do some shit with the mods in the folder.

Why won't the map work? I have it as a mod but it won't show up when i set up the game Please Help

I subscribed but the map doesn't show up in the map list. I checked and it seems that I'm missing the XML file, making it so that Civ doesn't recognize it as a mod. I'm just wondering if there is a fix to this at all.

Though we will need more info on the kingdoms, I hope they will be made as Civs later.

You find one source of iron on one tile, but it only has one iron in it, whereas on other maps, this one tile will have 6 or 8 iron, I'm wondering if that has been fixed.

@Silver4w I don't play enough Civ to know what that means.

Also have the res numbers been fixed, I remember playing an iron intensive civ and I could only find 3 deposits of 1.

So, I love RWBY, but have never played Civ. Ever. I decided to today.
While the map is really neat, is there any way I could have the actual leaders for the kingdoms?
I would make it myself if I had too, but yeah I want to play this right. I saw that you said you were slowly working on the leaders and other mods.

So is this a scenario or...

@redrocket155 It's an issue with how Steam Workshop handles installing of Civ V mods. By default, all downloaded mods (including maps) are installed in the mods folder, so they can only be accessed by going through the mods section of the in-game menu. To fix it so the map is accessable as just another map type, you have to go to your mods directory ("My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's civilization V/Mods" by default), open the "The World of Remnant" folder, and copy the contents to Civ 5's maps folder ("C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Sid Meier's Civilization V/Assets/Maps" by default).

need help map not found

Needs to be an update where it allows for random resource and ruin spawning, as the resources spawn in groups of one only, and I have never found a ruin, I suspect this is the same with antiquity sites. (also some of the palcements throw me off, like 3 oasis next to each other)

I'm probably not the only one, but I cannot find this map in the menu, am I blind or is it just bugging out?
