love the mod, keep up the good work
- Animation VS Animator
Unfortunately, there's no way to go back in version without me updating the mod again with an older version :(
Idk if there's a way to downgrade manually, but until there's a way... I'm sorry
I wanted to ask if there's a way for me to play the 3.0 version so I could save a replay I played with my friend yesterday. Add me in discord maybe? Nyantophobia#8568
ATM I'm updating the New Move: Line (making it more useful and fair), after 3.1 (in the next version -> 4.0 maybe), I'll add 3 new moves to the moveset of The Cursor (like I said earlier on the description of the mod)
I'll keep you informed as I progress! Ty all for the waiting and the good comments, you are awesome :)
Special thanks to "deathmodereal", I saw your clip on YOMI Modding Discord server and it's pretty awesome to see how somebody loves that much something that you created, really, appreciate it!!
I'll update the mod in early summer, I really want to keep improving this mod adding new attacks and making balance patchs; again, sorry for the waiting, see you soon here again <3
To compensate, a new update is live right now! (Gimme some minutes) With some balance changes and the new Aerial Special Combo Finisher Chain Attack (The other three are still in develop, but I want you to play with the balance changes and the new move)
Special thanks to "Videofreak" for telling me every needed change that I didn't see at first (Not everthing but almost everything) <3
Brush - this should be the jab - 2-3 more recovery, -1 on block
Select - should pull down to the ground on block and maybe +1 on block (for humor)
Pow - +3 on block (if you want it to be silly)
ScrollUp/Down - +1 on block and maybe like 2 more recovery
Zoom In/Out - should be larger hitboxes OR be faster - might be fun for zoom in to pull in on block and for both to deal more damage (maybe some minimum damage)
Download - +3 on block
SUPR - +3 on block and maybe -1 proration would be funny
QWRTY - a teensy bit more recovery and +2 on block. It would also be cool if it had hitboxes appear along with the key presses (all in one group maybe) but not that important
ALT F4 - should probably be a silly guardbreak (in addition to whatever others you make)
Throw - replaced with cowboys grab (different throw angle)
Win Expand - Honestly should be slower cause a hitbox of that size for a jab is not reasonable
Add - needs like 6 more frames of recovery and +1 on block - also seems to have odd hitcancel interrupts but might be intended
Click - seems kinda like a 6P so maybe air invuln starting like f3 or smth - +2 on block
Maximize - give it a frame delay before it starts moving, also at least 6 more recovery
Minimize - same
Dropper - should be a special, needs to have at least 5 more frames of recovery if not more and maybe the projectile could have parry window turned off (unparriabe)
About the combo follow ups, I'll try my best to optimize it with the moves that I already have, but keep in mind that more moves are coming soon after the 2.2 update or even 2.1 and I'll try my best to make useful moves that can be combined with the old moveset without being broken or changing completely the way that old moves works.
Anyways, appreciate the comment and as I said in the description I'll consider every word that you just said, have a nice day :) ❤️
The current hitcancelling is a bit weird. The hits don't cancel into any of the moves straight away, which I find to be a bit unfortunate. It makes combos feel less smooth and forces you to rely on instant cancel for a decent combo string. But instant cancel costs meter, which makes thing more difficult, especially since the cursor is already more of an aerial fighter with only 2 air options. Most of its moves launch the opponent in some way, and its best options are when it's in the air.
I think some good changes for the character would be to give it more air options so it can better use its tools, and to make it so that moves hitcancel better and have different frame data to make the gameplay feel better. Otherwise, spectacular mod! looking forward to the upcoming updates!
