is this a script or a mod? I subscribed and its not appearing in my scripts list. This states its a script.
piraneous 29 Mar, 2015 @ 10:41pm
so i subscribed, went to load my world, edited settings >Mods and added the mod to the right hand side. loaded up the game. named 2 doors right nex to each other as airlock, opened one door, then opened the next and watched all the O2 rush out the door. typed /ad help, nothing, typed /ad nothing.... what am i doing wrong?
swigartba 1 Feb, 2015 @ 5:28pm
i have a bunch of ambient and airlock doors that are named autodoor and they don't open automaticly
ranathane 3 Jan, 2015 @ 3:20pm
is there any way to set the key, min and max distance outside SE (text file, etc.)? Having to reset each time i load the world is a pain. thanks
commander.bert 1 Jan, 2015 @ 4:08pm
Are there any restrictions, maybe only in survival mode, cause in my game, creative mode, it writes only "AUTODOOR closing nearest airlock" but it does nothing, both doors stay open
KilledJoy 19 Nov, 2014 @ 6:20pm
Well i would love to do this but my airlock is designed at a angle .... annnnnd *deletes mod*

Chat problem is caused by pre-emptively flagging chat messages as "no show" before the "/ad" keyword is verified to be in the typed message.
Dez The Dapper Bocchi 7 Oct, 2014 @ 2:16pm
you should just make a diffrent door plz
AimWarlock 5 Oct, 2014 @ 3:53am
Hey, had a strange problem running this on Dedicated server, for some reason it disabled chat removed it from server now chat is working. Theirs no errors in logs.
Atsinatlai Soquili 1 Oct, 2014 @ 2:15pm
Okay so it is a game related issue then, Anyway no rush on the doors, thanks to Valkyrie I am using the glass doors for airlocks :P Since Airlocks are mostly glass on my builds to see through anyway :P

@Isabella Dewalt i've seem some reports on the forums about this. I still looking at the moded doors, but is rather tedious to test scripts with last week change.
Atsinatlai Soquili 1 Oct, 2014 @ 12:58pm
Okay am not sure what just happened, but my game suddenly doesn't run any API scripts now. Can't get yours to respond or the Sensor ore API, both worked fine together, but while building, they suddenly stopped working. Anyone else encounter this and if so has anyone found a fix? Restarting didn't work.
Valkyrie Ice 30 Sep, 2014 @ 10:53pm
Works beautifully on regular doors, the glass doors from Interiorama, and the Ambient Doors. But alas, yes, the Docking ring airlocks which I have used exclusively for all my airlocks simple do not work, as Isabella noted. Other that that, all of my ships doors auto open, even the hallway endcap doors from Telamont.
Benévolo General Kroll  [author] 30 Sep, 2014 @ 5:45pm
@Cprl.Rst as Quegga says, for now SE doesn't allow to run two scripts on the same block type. There is nothing i can do for now (let's see what we get next thursday)
Quegga 30 Sep, 2014 @ 3:13pm
Its not possible to run staragte and door scripts at the same time, the game crashes. I hope Keen adds multiple script support
CprlRst 30 Sep, 2014 @ 3:59am
Breaks Stargate mod when you try to use the stargate

This is on a MP dedicated server stargate works fine without mod installed

Mod works fine with stargate installed but if you try to use stargate it doesn't work

@Joseph51494: sometimes the first time you open the world doesn't work.
Joseph Sneed 26 Sep, 2014 @ 8:34pm
It's not working again.
sidneyaks 26 Sep, 2014 @ 6:08pm
This is awesome, thank you so much. =D

Shadowflux Used equipment, The single doors on it, And Airlocks from Dockingring Mod.
Benévolo General Kroll  [author] 25 Sep, 2014 @ 2:12pm
@Isabella Dewalt didn't test it with moded doors, Wich mod is it?
Atsinatlai Soquili 25 Sep, 2014 @ 1:59pm
shutting down and restarting after validating files fixed it for me, however airlock script doesn't play nice with mod doors >.> Airlock from a mod does not respond both ways. at best, I can get ONE of two doors to work but one way only. and IF I put the doors back to back there is absolutely no space at all between them to wait while the other side opens >.>
Benévolo General Kroll  [author] 25 Sep, 2014 @ 1:36pm
@Joseph51494 try delete and reload the script. that fixed it for me.-
Joseph Sneed 25 Sep, 2014 @ 1:19pm
still not working.
Benévolo General Kroll  [author] 25 Sep, 2014 @ 11:36am
@Isabella Dewalt i think its fixed.
Atsinatlai Soquili 25 Sep, 2014 @ 9:41am
I think this last update broke the script again, I had ONE airlock set working, and updated and now it doesn't function as anything but a normal door. Please Advise.
Bobler 25 Sep, 2014 @ 2:28am
@yaddah considering some builds can have 100s of doors making 200+ sensors just to open a door is a waste of time and could be better spent engineering something creative
Rita Estrazda 25 Sep, 2014 @ 12:16am
well considering a sensor and such for an airlock take up what 3-4 spaces timer and all. so telling the computer to close the door when one is open then that is fair
Benévolo General Kroll  [author] 24 Sep, 2014 @ 11:38pm
@Yaddah yes, you are right. It is like cheating, but, keep in mind that this api was given as a tool also, and this is a game, and i'm having fun coding this thingy.
And, as I said before, i'm too lazy
Yaddah 24 Sep, 2014 @ 10:20pm
I consider it as "cheating" or something close to it. If u want an automated door, be a real engineer and use the tools given to u to create one. Dont just code urself an easy solution. Ur missing the point of Space Engineers here.
Rita Estrazda 24 Sep, 2014 @ 9:24pm
neet mod. Here is an idea. Why not make a 1 squre block with two doors that is the airlock.
Cytrix Drakani 24 Sep, 2014 @ 12:49pm
well, i'd call a meeting of lazy people to lazily say how awesome this is, but im too lazy :P ill send some small dragons with a message for everyone :P
Helratz 24 Sep, 2014 @ 11:21am
My Constitution Class Refit and I, thank you!
天使竜 24 Sep, 2014 @ 3:18am
Oh something like this definitely has to be in game! Imaging how aweful Star Trek would have been if they had to push a button every time they had to go through a door ... just saying hehe :D.
Rhedd 24 Sep, 2014 @ 12:15am
... And there's a limit to how many groups you can have. On a big ship, wasting a group just to autoclose every single door gets unwieldy fast. This solution is far more elegant.
Benévolo General Kroll  [author] 23 Sep, 2014 @ 11:52pm
@tenshi.ryu thanks!. I don't know if something like this has to be in the game. Like others pointed out, you can do this with sensors (you can use only one in fact, assigning the door to a group with only that door, you can open on detection and close when you are aout of range), but, i dont like to put sensors on every door, cos i'm lazy (and look awful)
天使竜 23 Sep, 2014 @ 5:20pm
The default doors in the game should have this functionality already. And until KSH figures this out, this mod is the best I've seen to implement this without the need for other blocks.

Nice work Kroll.
Nekora 23 Sep, 2014 @ 11:31am
@Yaddah Benjamen15 already pointed this out and the answer is the same, yes you can, however this simplifies the whole process, also less lag
Yaddah 23 Sep, 2014 @ 11:22am
Uhm... u can already do this with sensors... just sayin.
merath 22 Sep, 2014 @ 9:33pm
that sukes
Benévolo General Kroll  [author] 22 Sep, 2014 @ 9:17pm
@Rhedd, yes, and almost every script stop working. They disabled some basic stuff, like ignorecase on certain methods. I dont know why, is pretty harmless.
Benévolo General Kroll  [author] 22 Sep, 2014 @ 9:12pm
@Rhedd: didn't notice the hotfix. I have automatic updates disabled.
SEModder4  [developer] 22 Sep, 2014 @ 9:12pm
YaY!. Thank you Benévolo,
Best mod/script ever! :D
Rhedd 22 Sep, 2014 @ 9:11pm
Thank you for explaining the input, Benevolo. That's the first thing I tried, but of course it was while the script wasn't working, so nothing happened. :P
Rhedd 22 Sep, 2014 @ 9:09pm
Did a quick test in a fresh world. They work fine now, Benevolo.
I'll go check the ones I installed earlier in my actual game, but I expect them to work.

Thanks for the fast update!
Benévolo General Kroll  [author] 22 Sep, 2014 @ 9:07pm
@Rhedd: Press 'Enter' in game to open the chat box, and type a command like, "/ad help"
Benévolo General Kroll  [author] 22 Sep, 2014 @ 9:05pm
I made a little update. I thing is working again. Can someone confirm?
Rhedd 22 Sep, 2014 @ 8:56pm
You have got to be...
People just...
I don't...
GEEZ
SEModder4  [developer] 22 Sep, 2014 @ 8:38pm
Yeah Keen disabled all possible scripts until further notice, because some idiot ruined all the fun when he went around crashing peoples servers with a simple chat command.
Rhedd 22 Sep, 2014 @ 6:49pm
I went through my ship earlier automating the doors, and it worked like a charm, but when I loaded the game up just now, they don't work anymore. Tried it on a clean test world with no other mods and it still doesn't work. What happened in the last few hours?

(Also, if I wanted to type "/ad help", as suggested, where would I type that?)
