Unfortunately, I don't know of any way to add film grain/vintage filter in game. But you could try using Reshade to add a filter overlay.

A little bit of a vintage film grain filter would complete this.

Nice, now all it needs is some kind of filter that makes it looks like it´s footage from an old movie reel, like the one in Cuphead and the game is up and ready to give Grandpa the PTSD of his life

Adding to what ALE199-ITA said, imagine if when you shot the gun, the game would pause for a minute to freeze and show a text screen that says "BANG!" like in old movies when they needed dialogue or sound effects to convey something. The Beast jumping out of the wall and roaring at you in silence before the game pauses and you see an old-timey film reel with cursive text that reads "Roar"

Would be fun if there was a total audio conversion to have everything sound like from an old Movie.

it's all like instrumental like old Silent Movies.
Instead of gunshots it's like big drum thump or a cymbal clash
