At best all I can do is remove connections to some of the sea tiles. Removing them from the art and from the map using the in-game editor would require a complete re-make of the map from scratch.
I realize that likely won't be done, or it might not be possible, but it's just a suggestion for future edits or updates on the map, etc. I also realize how this thematically might not make sense, but the simple reality is that being on that island permanently gimps the player or npc that spawns on it, both in income, and gem production - it leads to their loss in an inevitable and not fun way. It's also pretty difficult for a dedicated land faction to escape the island, especially facing ones that have decent underwater capability. Anyways thank you, really I enjoy this map.

So I would say it's close, but not yet there.
But all good if you'd just rather not worry about it, thanks again either way :)
That said I will be leaving the Advanced version up which is intended for use in the base game, which contains sea factions.
The Empire area is indeed overcrowded in the lore, and kicking some things to other places was a good choice. But if there is one faction which IS in the empire, it HAS to be Altdorf! That's the capital Empire faction. Please consider having Altdorf have the empire starting location and kick Middenheim somewhere else.
This map has 100+ ocean provinces, most of them perfect little squares. Nobody else does it that way for a very good reason... it makes most of the world just plain inaccessible, even with sailing or flying... and WH has no underwater factions. Please consider zoning the oceans in very large swaths of water as a single province instead of the grid squares. The number of ocean provinces should be more like 30, and not into the hundreds, which is making event resolution take a long, long time, even on a very fast gaming PC.
Can't wait for the non-advanced version!
Being so large, it seems like we really need to split the factions somewhat. Multiple dwarf nations, skaven, etc. Similar to what was done in TW.
@Mashall Davout thanks! Let me know what you think. I spent A LOT of time working on this.
