Are you meant to still get mood debuffs for butchering humanlike? Playing on the Steam Deck so I'd need to figure out how to pull logs for a bug report.

the evergrowing doesnt seem to work anymore

Hello, i finally have started to play with this mod by myself, and i have some suggestions. Basically all of the are about evergowing gene. The first one, is option, so i can choose when this gene takes its maximum power (As i understand now, it is around 60+ years) so you can actually see your pawns grow stronger and stronger. The second one is a ccosmetic one: Im not shure how this works in game engive, but it would be great when fully grown pawns model wont look si gigantic ( keeping x2 bodysize in the numbers). Thank you for attention.

I can guarantee you when the factories get remade I won't be adding an exception to the whole automation system just for that little bit of silliness
Aristarchus 31 Jul @ 8:10am
Can you make this compatible with mechanoid expanded? The meat grinder still turns the pigskins into human meat instead of pork meat.
Reda-Ou 31 Jul @ 3:19am
"organ regeneration" how does this work exactly? I have the gene but I'm not sure how it works or is activated, will an organ just appear one day or should there be a regrowing status?
Perq 30 Jul @ 6:43am
As said before, would be great to have an option to limit the maximum size - 2x pawns are too big and kinda overpowered
No Mic Tweetus 29 Jul @ 12:12pm
So why was the choice made to make pigskins eating humans cannibalism but humans eating pigskins would not be? Surely, pigskins wouldn't care being elevated pigs?

Thanks for mod , option to limit the growth would be good indeed p
Seigneur Gorbin 13 Jul @ 8:38am
Absolutely ove this mod but the ever-growing gene makes pawns look goofy imo. Wish it were capped at 1.5x

Hey Oskar? Are you updating your race mods these are amazing! Your the best rimworld modder on steam!
Gerewoatle 17 Jun @ 2:48pm
@Enregór - Because humans in RimWorld are scattered across the galaxy without FTL travel to connect them.

There is no central authority or universal set of laws or ethical standards. It's thousands of wildly divergent sovereign star systems or even individual planets, most of which have no up-to-date information about the others - in fact, most of them probably know nothing whatsoever about the majority of other civilizations in the galaxy, just the nearest few. If even that.

In short, they got away with it because there was no one who could or who cared to stop them and there was demand for the product.
Enregór 17 Jun @ 1:21pm
How did they get away with turning pigskins, presumably a sapient species, into a designated subservient slave-livestock race that can be rapidly bred for food?
Kamisato Ayato 16 Jun @ 11:22pm
Can you guys make a cow version of this?
STEALTHY¥ 4 May @ 1:34am
Are you guys going to be working on race expansions for other vanilla races soon aswell? like neanderthals?
PatoCarlo 28 Apr @ 7:06pm
Is there a way to eliminate the rapid and fast aging gene?
blakebab 16 Apr @ 7:42am
does organ regeneration heal brain damage?
Roronoa "pookie Bear" Zoro 21 Mar @ 12:43pm
get this mod and your hunger rate will go from 125X to 175X really just a huge debuff this mod is good but also unuseable also coward is a terrible perk also
Sverd 17 Mar @ 9:05pm
Could you give them a greenish skin color gene like in the cover art? Always found it strange these guys are human-colored.
Jeffigy 15 Mar @ 7:43pm
My pigs seem to die upon regenerating an organ yet I'm not getting a devmode error when that happens. Seems they get a lethal cut upon when they should regenerate their organ.
Diesel Power 4 Mar @ 1:12am
One thing I've noticed, if a baseliner without any cannibalism traits or ideology eats pork from a pigskin, they don't get the "ate human meat" moodlet. However they do get "ate human meat" negative in thier social tab on other pawns opinion of them. Is this intended?
Alerios 19 Jan @ 7:37am
Shouldn't the boarskin be added to the pirate gangs, waster pirates and cannibal pirate gangs?
Ryanisunique107 1 Jan @ 9:48am
does the growing one grow with age will my pawn still grow if they have the ageless gene?
Major Major Major Major 1 Jan @ 8:38am
There is a problem with the gluttonous gene. If you use nutrient paste dispensers or nutrient paste taps from VNPE to feed your colony, colonists always take just 1 meal. The gluttonous trait would allow them to handily eat 2, but since they can only take 1 their food bar gets filled to ~60%. This is compounded by the ever-growing gene, which if used in conjunction with gluttonous gene allows your colonist to store 8 nutrition when at 60 years of age. Any mod to fix the nutrient paste dispenser behavior?
Eclair 30 Dec, 2024 @ 1:24pm
The gene "Brave" is definitely broken...Idk why your guys added the brave trait and separated - 10% mental break threshold to it, I think it's too much because of its -1 metabolism.
No Mic Tweetus 15 Dec, 2024 @ 11:36am
Well I know, but they're not humans infused with pig DNA but pigs infused with human DNA, they're about as close as we get to aliens in the setting as their origin isn't human, eating a pig would be actual cannibalism since they are pigs. After all, if humans can have no problem eating pigskin flesh, pigskins would most likely have no problem eating human flesh.
Oskar Potocki  [author] 15 Dec, 2024 @ 4:41am
No, they're half-humans, half-pigs.
No Mic Tweetus 14 Dec, 2024 @ 10:06pm
If I may ask what is the rationale for human meat being unacceptable without specifically allow it in your ideological? They're genuinely not humans but pigs that were made more human to harvest organs from them, with that in mind, why would they care, after all, humans won't care if they eat pigskin porkflesh.
TheNLK 11 Dec, 2024 @ 1:36pm
I found an issue. Very minor, but very irritating. Rapid ageing + growth vat seems to slow down the ageing process to *1*...

Is it possible to include a geno/xenotype option for things like butchery?
Rachty 29 Nov, 2024 @ 10:39am
Why my colonist recieve the mood debuff of butcher human but they do not care about eating a pig? Also when I tried to butcher the pig I need to have activate the "butcher humanlike" and they do not difference between butchering a pig or a Ythakin for example, any solution?

I'm using facial animation mods (your own Vanilla Expanded retexture mod amongst them), and I'm seeing that the face scaling is pretty wack with the bigger Pigskins from this mod. I think this is just a problem with mods that alter scales sometimes? Can someone tell me how to work around that while still using facial animation mods?
ItsKairoKay 13 Oct, 2024 @ 12:11pm
hey for the growth point multiplier on the aging genes how much would i need to adjust it for 600% child aging rate in the story teller settings, like just editing the xml file.

@Muad'dib
There should be ideological settings you can change, might be in the tab about "cannibalism" because all the xenotypes in RimWorld lore, are just genetically modified humans. There is most definitely a setting for organ harvesting, allowing you to harvest without moodlet from pigskins, as referenced above.

@sammy2020 report a bug with the forums
sammy2020 28 Sep, 2024 @ 11:54am
is it intended that the gens that effect body size also increase HP of limbs BUT they never fully heal so you end up having pawns counting as sick/injured for trade purposes and stat %'s on the health tab of the pawn . while very minor its annoying
Muad'dib 12 Sep, 2024 @ 1:36pm
Does this mod, or any that you might know of and recommend, make it so that there is a different option when using the butcher spot for butchering pigskins from other humans? Also even though they now produce pork does it still give the debuff for 'butchering a human'?
cashewolf 9 Sep, 2024 @ 3:42pm
Alright, thanks. Guess I'll go mod hunting haha.
RedMattis  [author] 9 Sep, 2024 @ 9:44am
@cashewolf
Works on my machine. Tested with both this+framework, and my regular test list.

Probably something in your modlist is messing around with the graphics in a bit of a reckless manner.
cashewolf 8 Sep, 2024 @ 11:35am
I came across a small graphical glitch that I think is related to the ever-growing gene from this mod. It's not a big deal, but if a pawn with the ever-growing gene has red eyes, they appear in the middle of the pawn's neck—where they'd normally be if the pawn were regular size. This might happen with other eye colours or implants, but I haven't checked. It only happens when the pawn is facing sideways, though.

Screenshot for reference: https://imgur.com/a/SsKoBnC
The left pawn is regular-sized, and the right one has the ever-growing gene.

Fantastic mod, however! Thanks for making it :)
JazzimoX 21 Aug, 2024 @ 10:02pm
Prisoners can survive euthanization with ever-growing if their head/neck/brain is grown enough. Weird combo of deathless + ever-growing pawn + combat extended so a pawn survived with a 21.0 damage brain cut which causes +1154% pain. Ouch.
Feels like a failed electric chair experiment. Let him die for goodness sake.
Oskar Potocki  [author] 19 Aug, 2024 @ 3:00pm
Nope, sorry.
GrassTypeFire 19 Aug, 2024 @ 2:32pm
Are there plans to make a version of this and others mods in the series with only the genes, without changing the base xenotypes such as pigskin or the genie from the VRE - Genie? I've checked the Alpha Genes mod but some genes like Gluttonous are not present in AG.
