use potato.tf mvm testing servers to inspect warpaints in game without spending money. When you join the server change the map to "mvm_bigrock" using voting and when the map loads change the mission to "warpaints"

I'm really at the mercy of the warpaint system, so I can't choose where the texture is mapped onto the weapon. There is a way to do that, but that would guarantee it not getting into the game because that's additional work for valve and we know what they're like, plus I don't know how to do custom UV mapping (I think that's what it's called). So, I would've liked the change the revolver textures, but I unfortunately can't. I also can't show it in game unless I own the warpaint that I am basing it on, and I ain't made of money so I'd be stuck using just the two that I have that are only MW. But I'm currently making another updated version of this warpaint, so maybe I'll use them anyway cuz something is better than nothing I suppose.

I don't like how the minigun drum is one solid color and not 2 as well as he revolver having wood on the front instead of it being a grip. Also I need to see the weapons in game

Too bad the Airstrike doesn't have wood grip with silver back part. Kinda good warpaint btw

✓ Not too saturated/an eyesore
✓ Based on in-game items - doesn't clash with the game's theme
✓ Respects team coloring
✓ Looks good in lower wears

I like it. A solid mercenary or commando, maybe assassin, grade skin. Only problem is, like Muwri mentioned, the wood's possibly too detailed. I would (maybe?) upscale it if you don't want to redo it. It's not that big a deal though; it's not like... other skins where the problem is a base/root problem, it's a minor blemish on an otherwise great skin.

i literally finished like the exact same war paint 2 days ago without knowing this existed lmao

Make sure you include proper instructions to have the albedo shader applied in the code.
Muwri 18 Feb, 2024 @ 2:17am
Very nice concept, but I think the wood is a little too detailed. I suggest you try a more simple approach to it, then it would be much better.
