Hi everyone! This mod has been updated to 1.5, and I have also made HD textures for the Mythic heads and auras. I'll get to Mammalia eventually.
Please let me know if you have any feedback on the heads or auras. :tw2dragon:
ArticBlazer 11 Sep, 2024 @ 11:23am
when will this mod be updated for 1.5??
Tybaxel 29 Jul, 2024 @ 1:25pm
looking forward to seeing this done with the new heads!
Draconian_Alpha1990 15 May, 2024 @ 5:23pm
@Nazuluhis
More than likely when the updated textures for Mythic and Mammalia are all done. You can still use this mod for the HD textures, you just won't have the new heads in HD until they're done with them.
Nazuluhis 7 May, 2024 @ 12:12am
update to 1.5?
Draconian_Alpha1990 2 May, 2024 @ 7:43pm
I look forward to seeing the new HD textures. I still use the mod despite the new heads that were released so I can still have the HD wings and stuff. As always, great work with the HD textures and I look forward to seeing the HD heads.

I have mammalia ones ready at my work PC, tomorrow I'll get them to ya!
Beansprout  [author] 2 May, 2024 @ 11:18am
@Yaveton - Aww no that's too bad! If you end up doing them again let me know.
Hopefully, hopefully, I'll have some free time on the horizon soon. Fingers crossed!
Yaveton 2 May, 2024 @ 3:14am
I'm done with the Mammalia heads, I was finished with Mythic but I pressed Ctrl-z and fk... lost it...
Yaveton 30 Apr, 2024 @ 3:49am
TBH I really want to see the heads in HD, I have a pretty chill time at work so I'll try to do them and send it to you, k? lol
Draconian_Alpha1990 24 Apr, 2024 @ 12:23pm
@Beansprout
As Yaveton has stated, update 1.5 for the Biotech Expansion series has brought about new heads for all the Mythic and Mammalia Xenotypes, some of which are shared between the Xenotypes, anything that is not a head is still affected and improved by this mod (Tails, wings, horns, etc.). Also, a new Biotech Expansion has been released with 1.5 by Lennoxite, Insectoids. This mod introduces a new Insect like Xenotype, I've yet to check it out to see if it can use an HD update by you, however I would dare say it would require one.

Thanks for the continued interest in this mod! I've been very busy lately but would love to update it when I have time. I am also pretty jazzed about the unique heads!
Yaveton 16 Apr, 2024 @ 2:12am
@Leaf Works fine from what I saw with 1.5, snoots are OK, but 1.5 added specific heads, if You could update them too I'd sell my kidney and give you the money

please update! i love this mof!
Draconian_Alpha1990 14 Feb, 2024 @ 9:08am
I really love the Biotech Expansions, but was not impressed with the rendering when I got really close with Camera+. I loved the mod too much to just drop it and wait for a graphic fix to happen, thanks for getting one out to make a great mod set better.
McTibu420 9 Feb, 2024 @ 10:46pm
Omg this is amazing
Beansprout  [author] 9 Feb, 2024 @ 3:20pm
@TeddyTweaker @Legeden

Alrighty yall, I made the outlines much thicker! They should be roughly inline with the head outline from Vanilla Pawns Retextured. I'm hoping I don't have to revisit the thickness again, but if I get another two callouts I'll try again.
Beansprout  [author] 9 Feb, 2024 @ 9:00am
@Cringe Shaymin - Thank you!! I'm glad you think so.

@TeddyTweaker - Aaah, okay. Now that I've gotten multiple comments about it I feel more confident tweaking it. I find the lines plenty visible with Camera+ installed, but I suppose that must not be the case for every modpack. Thank you!
TeddyTweaker 9 Feb, 2024 @ 7:37am
The only thing stopping me from downloading this are the outlines. They're so small it looks like they aren't there at a distance, and that's how you usually view the game.
Cringe Shaymin 9 Feb, 2024 @ 4:23am
The snouts are already a huge improvement over the original, you've done great work!
Beansprout  [author] 8 Feb, 2024 @ 11:42pm
@Legeden - The patch has been added, and it is toggle-able with Vanilla Expanded Framework! Of course, one could always just find the mod folder for this mod and delete the patches as well. (Just make sure to delete all patch files, and the LoadFolders.xml)

I've nearly completed everything I wanted to achieve with this mod. If I can get the snouts looking a little better that would be awesome, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm having a really hard time with it.
Beansprout  [author] 7 Feb, 2024 @ 5:41pm
@Legeden I'm looking into having the patch be toggleable with Vanilla Expanded Framework! Which is my best bet as someone who is not an advanced coder. I hope that will be sufficient!

@Yaveton I'm curious how the beardless gene is affecting things, I might look into it but there is a high chance I won't be able to fix it. If you ever get screenshots feel free to add them to the Bug Reports discussion I'm about to make!
Yaveton 7 Feb, 2024 @ 11:31am
Bruh I removed "Beardless" gene and now all is aligned????
Furskin heads are broken by beardless gene 💀
Yaveton 6 Feb, 2024 @ 11:15pm
Absolute godsend!

Bit of a shame that there's still the problems with snouts' placement, but overall looks absolutely great!
Legeden 6 Feb, 2024 @ 12:12am
For me, it should be a feature here for 2 reasons:
- it was inconsistent in showing the snout, you could see it when character walks left to right, but when facing the front you could see only the helmet and no nose
- the hair issues

Some people may not like how it cuts through the helmet or specific hair, so a toggle in mod options would be the best, but I wouldn't know how to go about that.
brain injury 5 Feb, 2024 @ 8:22pm
thank you so much!!!
Beansprout  [author] 5 Feb, 2024 @ 3:59pm
@Legeden
A-ha, yes I have figured it out. The Mammalia snouts use the postSkin layer, and the Lycan snouts use postHair. It should be an easy enough patch to write.

I do not think there would be any problems to adding it to this mod, but would people prefer it to be a separate patch? Please let me know what you think.
Beansprout  [author] 5 Feb, 2024 @ 3:47pm
@Legeden
I'm glad the snouts are looking good, I put extra care into making them line up best I could.

It should not be too hard to thicken the tail outline a bit, I kind of like that they are less prominent but if the community likes em big and bold, it's not a huge change to make.

Yes, it is probably an issue with the original mod, but it should be easy enough for me to investigate! Thank you for pointing it out, I will report back in a bit. Maybe I'll do a upRes of the Lycan snouts while I'm there...
Legeden 5 Feb, 2024 @ 2:41am
I presume this is an issue of the original Mammalia mod, but with VFE Lycan they're drawing the canine nose few layers higher, effectively above the hair and helmets.

If that is something that could be changed here, it would help with compatibility with some hairs and such.

Really liking the noses, they look and connect to the body much more nicely.

Though imo, the tails and other parts got their outlines very thin, not matching with the vanilla body style as well as the originals.
Beansprout  [author] 4 Feb, 2024 @ 7:00pm
@Dex - Oh, thanks for letting me know! I appreciate it. Fixed.

@Richard - I felt the same way, so I made this! I'm so glad you like it. ^w^

@Everyone Else - Mythic is now mostly retextured! :tw2dragon: Just the bodies are left to do.
Dex Enfvaras 4 Feb, 2024 @ 6:32pm
Sorry to bug, but your Vanilla Pawns Retextured redirect is the same as Camera+
unthinking specimen 4 Feb, 2024 @ 8:07am
this was my main gripe with the original mod, thank you for making this.
