Reminds me of one of my favorite movies, Children of Men. Cool idea! Much appreciated. Hopefully, I can have humanity tear itself apart - after all hope is lost - like in the movie. Looking forward to some social/societal calamities!

@ Buccaneer That's for 2 reasons, actually. I got the idea for the scenario after reading an article about how low birth rates are in Japan and that young people often have little to no interest in relationships and sex. The location also led to the idea of my disease being aquatic, since Japan has plenty of hot springs and bathing and hygiene are very important in Japanese culture. So that's the second reason: it was easy to build a disease for that specific country. I hope this answers your question :)

Why doe sthe desease start in Japan?

@Omen1991 Oh, I see. :) It's a very nice book. Good job with the creative disease. Looking forward to updates.

@ Vexxar Al'Hara Nope, not at all :) I've never read Inferno, but someone who has also pointed out to me that the book has a similar plot. But it's just a coincidence :)
VexTary 21 Sep, 2014 @ 8:43am
This disease is inspired on Dan Brown's Inferno disease created by Zobrist? :)

@ Vancir [LBTF] Thank you for your kind words and for the suggestion. I tried to balance the infectivity a bit and hope that the scenario is now a bit less easy :)
Vancir [LBTF] 21 Sep, 2014 @ 2:53am
Wow, it's now actually pretty good! Indeed, now we can actually make mankind unable to make children, but I wasn't expecting this kind of symptoms ;) Another thing, now that we can win another way than killing everybody, you should try to balance a bit the infectivity, as it doesn't even matter that your disease is spotted due to the fact that the entire world is infected in less than 6 months, and that the winning symptom isn't that hard to get...

It looks good

Okay, so I went and changed it already ^^ There should be a bigger focus on infertility now.

@ Vancir [LBTF] Thanks for the input ^^ It's a bit late in the day now, so I'll look into that tomorrow.
Vancir [LBTF] 20 Sep, 2014 @ 11:33am
Good concept, but the problem is that the disease don't even have an actual infertility symptom :/
