Do you have AlyxLib subscribed and enabled?
Are other mods AlyxLib related?
Are you trying to enabled this mod for a saved game that didn't initially have it? (This won't work).
Try starting a game with just AlyxLib and Resin Watch enabled to see if it works.
Open the console and enter "alyxlib_diagnose resin_watch" , if there are no suggestions you can copy the result here.

For some reason, this mod does not work for me. The clock on the hand in the game simply does not appear. Although I turned on everything. Other mods work
FrostEpex  [ophavsmand] 26. mar. kl. 14:34
I've just checked it out and there is indeed a piece of resin underneath the xen foliage that must have been missed by the developers. It exists in the uncompiled vmap of that level too. Might have just been covered up when they did an art pass!
Lotu 22. mar. kl. 23:19
@Nikato I came here to say the same thing.
Nikato 20. mar. kl. 1:38
i dont know if this has been brought up before, but in chapter 2 just before the headcrab falls out of the vent the watch tracks a piece of resin that either isnt there or beneath the floor. is there a resin entity out of bounds or is this something else going on?
FrostEpex  [ophavsmand] 28. jan. kl. 14:55
There's no watch reset command but might be a good command to add. I'm aware of the transition issue but have been unable to experience it myself so it's hard to debug. I'm trying to push out an update as soon as possible but there's a lot on my plate.
Thanks for the feedback.

This is a brilliant mod, but for me it brakes at every map transition (the greyed out screen, orange progress map, and "Press trigger to start" bit), so at the start of each level I'm having to end the game and start a new game from that level to get it working again. The trouble with that is I lose all my previously found ammo and resin.

Anyone got a better solution for my next play through?
Is there a "Watch reset" console command that I can use, or a fix that keeps the watch working?
Skummeh 28. dec. 2024 kl. 3:38
There's a mod called More Resin which adds extra resin to the campaign.
FrostEpex  [ophavsmand] 27. dec. 2024 kl. 17:44
I don't know what you mean by modded campaign resin. As long as the resin is the built-in entity class it should be tracked in any map even if the model is changed.
Clover Incorporated 27. dec. 2024 kl. 17:32
Does this work with modded campaign resin or just mods that add more resin to base campaign.
Hat :3 12. dec. 2024 kl. 11:36
ive unsubscribed an resubscribed (manually scrubbing any remaining workshop files before resubscribing), verified files as well
FrostEpex  [ophavsmand] 12. dec. 2024 kl. 10:03
It's very odd that I can't reproduce this when testing with the current uploaded versions. Is it possible you subscribed before the last update and it hasn't updated correctly? Without experiencing the problem myself it's honestly hard to debug.
Hat :3 12. dec. 2024 kl. 9:40
without scalabe init support the watch doesn't appear at all, I spent 2 days trying to get it to work until I tried installing scalable init and thats when it appeared, but then I ran into the issue of it not functioning anymore after going through a map transition
FrostEpex  [ophavsmand] 12. dec. 2024 kl. 2:00
Can you try it without scalable init support and see if it makes any difference?
Hat :3 12. dec. 2024 kl. 1:56
im having the same issue blakary is having, but the reload command doesn't fix it for me, I just have alyxlib, scalable init, and the watch, and ive tried every possible load order
FrostEpex  [ophavsmand] 5. dec. 2024 kl. 2:43
Unfortunately it's not possible at the moment to change which addons a save file uses so you will not be able to use this addon for your current save. I felt it was best to move everything to AlyxLib all at once to provide the best support.
Very sorry about this.
Axelfox 5. dec. 2024 kl. 2:21
Hi there, after not playing for some time, i came back and seen that this mod now needs the AlyxLib addon, but even if i enable it in the main menu, my existing save does not load it up, tracker watch is still there, just none functional :S
How can i add the AlyxLib midsave? default enabled addons command does show it in the console.
FrostEpex  [ophavsmand] 26. nov. 2024 kl. 23:41
Unfortunately following those steps results in a working resin watch for me. It tracks resin and can switch modes like normal. An update will be coming soon, we will see if it makes any difference.
Blakary 26. nov. 2024 kl. 23:28
All I did was load directly into chapter 2, collect any resin i could find with the watch along the way, and hit the trigger.
Blakary 26. nov. 2024 kl. 23:25
When entering default_enabled_addons_list into the console, it outputs this:
default_enabled_addons_list = 3145397582,3329679071

I load into Chapter 2 (The Quarantine Zone)
I don't do anything to the watch prior to walking into the trigger
FrostEpex  [ophavsmand] 26. nov. 2024 kl. 1:29
I'm trying different combinations of addons as listed but I cannot get this bug to occur. For me the watch continues to function after a level transition. If you have an exact process you can give me I can test further:
- Type default_enabled_addons_list into the console to give me the exact addon order
- Tell me the map or chapter you load
- Do you do anything with the watch prior to walking into a changelevel trigger?
Blakary 25. nov. 2024 kl. 20:30
Ok, after a bit of testing I found out I was wrong on a few things:

1. Loading into a save where the watch is broken/"reloading" (e.g. after a load zone) DOES fix it.

So the actual list is:

WORKS/FIXES:
1. Creating a new game
2. Changing enabled addons so it starts your save from the beginning of the chapter you're loaded into
3. Using the reload command in the console
4. Loading into a save where the watch is broken/"reloading" (e.g after a load zone)
5. Loading directly into a chapter (not through a load zone)

BREAKS:
1. Crossing a load zone

Not sure if loading into a save after a crash actually breaks it. I only had one instance where this happened and it was probably some other factor.
Blakary 25. nov. 2024 kl. 19:42
Theres only a few instances I've seem to find where the watch actually works:

1. Enabling/Disabling addons so it starts your save from the beginning of the chapter you're loaded in
2. Using the reload command in the console (not loading "reloading" a save)

I'm not sure if these are all the instances where it works, I'll have to do some testing.

The instances where the watch breaks are as follows:

1. Crossing a load zone
2. Loading into a save where the watch is broken (e.g. after a load zone)
3. Loading into a save after a crash

Again, not sure if these are all the instances. I'll have to do some testing.
FrostEpex  [ophavsmand] 25. nov. 2024 kl. 18:49
Does this mean if you save after a level transition and load that save the watch becomes functional again? This would help narrow it down thanks, I don't have a lot of time to test right now
Blakary 25. nov. 2024 kl. 18:37
eninem is right, what i mean by checkpoint is a load zone. loading directly into a chapter however doesnt break it.
SPC HC 25. nov. 2024 kl. 16:38
Seeing as I think I'm having the same problem as Blakary, I'll mention that by "checkpoint" I think he means crossing a load zone in a map, since that's when my watch would break.
FrostEpex  [ophavsmand] 23. nov. 2024 kl. 19:37
Can you describe what you mean by a checkpoint and the steps you can take to reproduce this error?
Blakary 23. nov. 2024 kl. 19:32
using the reload command seems to fix it
Blakary 23. nov. 2024 kl. 15:24
There's a really critical error that happens when loading into a checkpoint (not a chapter) that causes the watch to break. It seems to be a problem with AlyxLib as seen in this error I found in VConsole2:

Script Runtime Error: scripts\vscripts\alyxlib/class.lua:217: attempt to call field 'LoadAll' (a nil value)
stack traceback:
scripts\vscripts\alyxlib/class.lua:217: in function 'Activate'

...97582.vpk:scripts\vscripts\resin_watch\classes\watch.lua:4: in main chunk
Error running script named resin_watch/classes/watch

I have these addons enabled: Scalable Init Support, AlyxLib, Resin Watch, Spawn/Utility Menu, More Resin, Resin Detector

However I was still receiving this error with only these mods enabled: Scalable Init Support, AlyxLib, Resin Watch
SPC HC 6. nov. 2024 kl. 17:44
This mod is great but i'm having some trouble with it, the watch seems to stop working when loading into a new map. The counter turns orange, says "00" and the watch doesn't point to anything. Is there a fix for this? The mods I have enabled are this, AlyxLib, Scalable Init Support, and Campaign+ (with resin).
FrostEpex  [ophavsmand] 31. okt. 2024 kl. 19:15
Levitation overrides the initiation script that AlyxLib uses. The simplest way to fix this is to make sure AlyxLib is the very last addon enabled. You can do this simply by disabling and re-enabling in the addon menu which will give it priority.

For future reference I'll note that Levitation checks for the existence of Scalable Init Support, so having Scalable Init Support enabled alongside AlyxLib in any order might also fix this.
Mr. sououba.VR 31. okt. 2024 kl. 12:30
Hi, this is the collection of Levitation map gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/filedetails/?id=2881604879 , thank you very much, this resine watch is the best addon for me
FrostEpex  [ophavsmand] 30. okt. 2024 kl. 21:13
Can you link me to this levitation map? It might be that it doesn't conform to current standards
Mr. sououba.VR 30. okt. 2024 kl. 21:10
Very nice add on, however when I activate it with only one part of the Levitation map I see the watch and it works very well, but if I activate two or more parts of the Levitation map I no longer see the watch, please is there a solution? thank you very much
FrostEpex  [ophavsmand] 20. sep. 2024 kl. 12:23
If you bring the watch near an item or ammo with the orange mode activated, then input the commands, do you still get the error and does the watch continue to function like normal?
I'm updating in a few days so I will add a debugging command to print out more details when it happens.
Alex 20. sep. 2024 kl. 10:45
AlyxLib, Partial Ammo Storage, and Scalable Init Support.
FrostEpex  [ophavsmand] 20. sep. 2024 kl. 9:15
Unfortunately I can't replicate this bug. This can only occur if the entity couldn't be found but if it's attached to your wrist and working when you use the commands then I'm not sure what could cause this.
Do you have any other addons enabled?
Alex 19. sep. 2024 kl. 4:42
There isn't really any information I can give, that's just what the console says when I try to use the ammo or item tracking commands in-game. I started from the QZ chapter and set the notify command to 0 and then tried to change the item and ammo tracking commands and it spouted that error. The notify command works fine though.
FrostEpex  [ophavsmand] 19. sep. 2024 kl. 4:00
Can you give more information about this? Does the watch exist working on your wrist when you try to use the command?
Alex 19. sep. 2024 kl. 2:01
"Cannot set resin_watch_allow_ammo/item_tracking, resin watch does not exist in game!"
FrostEpex  [ophavsmand] 15. aug. 2024 kl. 17:19
When I talked about SIS I meant to talk about the auto pickup mod which doesn't work
Alu Midian 15. aug. 2024 kl. 17:15
it clips into the glove's wrist, making it unable to see most of the screen of the watch.
FrostEpex  [ophavsmand] 15. aug. 2024 kl. 17:13
That glove mod also stops working when used with resin watch?
Alu Midian 15. aug. 2024 kl. 17:09
oh, if you need a SIS glove, here is another i use, i kinda batch dl'ed a load of them to see what worked.

https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2567091806&searchtext=scalable+init+support+glove

pretty sure this one uses glove loader, which uses SIS
FrostEpex  [ophavsmand] 15. aug. 2024 kl. 16:59
The author has not provided the source for the mod so I can't see how it's loaded, but it looks like it doesn't use Scalable Init Support which is the standard for auto loading mods. If this mod works with other SIS mods then I can look further, otherwise you'll have to contact the author about updating.
Alu Midian 15. aug. 2024 kl. 16:29
the ones im using are https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3240891430

the Nocts gloves, but most glove replacers use a similar model as a base, just different colors, bare one or two. as far as the auto pick up mod

https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2182131677

your mod does something to this that makes it not work, i imagine it is because you are altering item code or something to make them detectable to your watch and the auto pick up does the same thing to make them auto pick up, i dunno, not a modder. hope this helps
FrostEpex  [ophavsmand] 15. aug. 2024 kl. 16:23
Can you link me to your mods? I would have to hardcode positions for each glove mod
