Work the mod in Age of Hero?

Forgive the less beings of their poorly argued complaints. Looks good. Didn't steal from others. Took time to make it all into a mod. Thank you for that.

As if people don't learn art in exactly the same way: by orienting themselves on the works of others, copying them, studying them and getting better at them until their own style crystallizes. Even after that. It's called reference material. I don't know any other artist who hasn't learned it in exactly the same way. But when a machine does it, suddenly the hysteria breaks out that this learning process is theft. Don't give me that shit.

It's a great mod and a lot of effort has gone into it. Don't let it drag you down. The people who block any progress as if the end is near will eventually be sitting there with their smartphone in their hands instead of still playing Snake on their Nokia.

Thank you for yet another great mod. I don't mind its AI. I know for a fact that I could never learn how to draw or paint because I'm stupid, and AI allows artistically challenged people like me to do art. Don't let AI haters' comment bother you, MAC!

Ai Art is a legal tool that in this case is being used to create FREE content for a game mod. No one is making money from it, no one is claiming as their own. There is a huge amount of work after you generate AI art to get it game ready for Conan. Its not like you slap it down in the dev kit and poof its done. There is still plenty of time and work that goes into the entire process of providing the item itself for the mod.
And as Senja said, I'm here for the BBQ too.

I love how much effort you put into your modding work and how much time you take to make the images fit Howard's lore. It's not just "push a button" and let the AI do everything, it's also time consuming to optimize the inputs to get good results. And you've done that well. You've also prepared it for use in the game. Don't let the users get in the way of your creativity.

Who says I haven't spent the time getting good at art? I graduated in graphics design and I went to art school. I also know my limits. Making this amount of works in this amount of time while being limited by aphantasia is beyond my capabilities.

but you ARE using someone else's work without permission! AI "art" generators are trained on datasets obtained without permission from the artists. You're still doing it, it's just been chewed up and spit out by a computer instead of lifted wholesale.

If you want to use it, fine, whatever, it's not against the TOS and you're not making money from it, but don't pretend you aren't still stealing someone else's skills instead of using the time you spend "editing" to get good at art yourself.

I rather like MutantArtCat's work, she puts a lot of time and effort into everything she's made :)

There is nothing bad of using AI, especially in a hobby.
Modding is a hobby and not a paid work.
Modding means that someone uses their free time to enrich the gaming experience of others without getting paid for it.

Using AI doesn't mean, that the Modder don't have to spend a lot of time and work into the Art.

Honestly... complaining to someone for using a legal tool to offer others something for free that enriches their gaming experience is a big turn off and a slap in the face to people who are sacrificing their free time.

Sorry to hear that. I am genuinely not aware of free to use artwork sites that can be used for this, I have run into "free" stuff in the past which turned out to be ripped off or gotten without permission anyway, even on the medium I pay for to use, so my trust in that is a bit low. I figured using AI would be a great solution to this, even though the use is controversial.

If you can share some examples of where I can find these artworks on my Discord, I can dive into that.

Honestly... the admitted use of AI here is a major turn off... as there are dozens of similar artworks out there that could have been used without using AI, that are free to download.

Making them is not the issue, putting the work into getting them in the database is something else though :D

I generates images based on keywords I use, it can be a challenge to find the right prompt to get the image you are looking for. Serpentmen are quite an ordeal to create, but I think I managed to get some nice ones.

What does AI Generator do? :)

just a suggestion for painting.. some art that represents each type of workstation in the game may be? we could add that t the workstation areas .. alternative for signs and those specific boards for each work area lol.. if not also this is really nice having different paintings to decorate.. thanks Cat
