if you have let's say 4 gamble, your pellets randomly deal between 1 and 4 damage each. if the effect appears on the left side of the board during gameplay you can hover over them to see the effect

also if either deck would have more than 10 cards, cards start getting torn starting with the oldest one

What does gamble actually do? Also when you have cards that switches places from black to white area and vice versa, what happens when eventually your cards or the white's exceeding the slot count? Do both still get the selected card benefit?

You climb up in the ranks everytime you beat the normal game mode... Higher ranks = extra perks for your guns and extra perks for the white pieces (enemies).

ha finally I've beaten the hellmare for the first time ever thanks to the newest overpowered card : the one that grants you +10 pierce and knock back every floor, by the time I met the hellmare I rather easily got rid everyone on the board by pushing them out of the board, a bit struggled from the forced debuff but finally killed both the last starvation and the mare by knocking it out from the board, the mare died instantly...

the black card you mention refers to the speedrun timer which i recommend turning on from the settings. basically the card gives +3 firepower but you lose 1 of these firepowers at minutes 1,2 and 3, meaning you want to go fast

I've known this for a while, it just now that I want to report it, there's a white card that has 10% floor restart chance whenever the white rook took a damage, it will always result in CTD for me

Now on the other hand there's a black card with a similar ish kind of art to the card I mentioned above but vastly different effect, it's the one that give extra firepower depending on a timer or some sort, but here I'm totally confused with how it works.... The timers are like something under 1 to 3 minutes or something like that...

But what does that even mean? What is the timer even mean? And what I noticed is that if I got the card in earlier floor, I would always lose 1 firepower bonus or 2 as the floors increases... What's really happened with that card?

also they are toggleable for testing purposes and in the event of a critical bug occuring during boss fight the person can give it to themselves without having to do it again

yeah right click effects are mutually exclusive
also can you go to any gun in the selection menu and press any button from 0 to 9 and tell me if any completion badge appears?

eh I realize it now, this is because I'm exclusively playing with the royal enforcer gun...! that must be it, isn't it? since both grenade and emptying all your barrel use the same right click method to execute...

hey so the only grenade card in the codex that is visible is the "kingly alms" card, but I'm telling you I've never been offered that card (throne mode) in a very very long time, quite possibly a year or way longer than that... I remember getting grenades in old version of the mod...

1) black mist + profane skull

2) get -10 absolution

3) hellmare doesn't spawn if you have a moat card for tech reasons

and speaking of which, what spawned the hellmare? sometimes the first white card turned into hellmare and sometimes it's the last card...

patches tend to add 2-5 cards usually tho some of the bigger ones can add up 10 or more

Hellmare is basically the "final boss" of the mod, you generally don't want to fight her unless you have a really strong combo (or cheese strat). That said, you generally want to try and get "Call of Hellmare" early because there are special cards like "To Defy" which will help in fighting her. The general strategy is to kill as few pieces as possible during the run, but killing all other pieces first during the boss fight so the Starvations deal more damage. Once her second phase triggers, she starts spawning Starvations regulary so you could also have a build that focuses on killing those
Starvations. Note that unless you have like 50 firepower, you don't want to attack Hellmare directly because she will increase the HP of all Starvations.

how do the turrets work? like is there a base turret skill you need to find, and then everything else applies to it, or do I need to place it somehow? I just grabbed sniper turret and I can't seem to make it actually do anything.

See, that is what I am talking about. I would never take King's Shoulders because that is not something that I would play and how am I was supposed to know that it is a prerequisite for an unlock? Couldn't you make like a google doc of all cards, what they do and the combination of cards to unlock them?

it's a black card and you need hubris and king's shoulders. the card is in between skedaddle and clean shot in the codex but it will only appear when you search for it if you have the prerequisite cards

Yeah, but it's not only about that. It would be better to look at the cards and what they do in easy to browse format. For example for ID29 you need to find a card called "The Ring King", what is that card, is it black or white card, how rare it is, what is the art of a card to help you find it with Old Extra on rank 10.

You should be able to hover over them when they appear listed as stats on the right side. in your case you'd see:
gamble: your pellets deal between 1 and "gamble value"
absolution: absolution gives "absolution value" firepower for each soul slot that does not hold a soul currently
