This is a great mod, but one thing I don't get is that I can't select the remastered options, only the vanilla options. I know this is called 'vanilla enhancement' but a lot of those changes were actually good.

I think the creator of the mod doesn't have much time for the mod, since, he is the main lead in the RTR serectum. And too busy with it. Which is great, since RTR is such a mod, close to standalone game itself

Not sure if this is an active mod, starting carthage campaign and attacking a rebel settlement on Sicily using elephants to ram the gates seems to cause CTD. I'll reattempt using rams. Anything I can do to fix it?

A Seleucid army over in the far east keep's on crashing my game on the end turn. The army moves a couple of spaces and a random general would spawn in, and then game crashes. I'm around 200 turns in a play through and didn't have any save files from previous turns.

rebels keep crashing my game on end turn any way to fix this, i even have a save 3 turns back and every time i reach turn 59 into 60 it crashed had the same with another save at turn 101 but no previous saves so had to delete that one. :(

You cannot directly, the engine decides port trade routes by richness of trade partner. So you must alter the value of a region in trade to help manipulate port trade to your liking

I understand that you are working on the RTR mod. GREAT mod, it really give a sense of being a regional power.
About your mod, I am gonna work on it, because I find it as a fine balance between RTR and this one. Not too many provinces as RTR, but not as little as the pure vanilla map.

I would need your help on one thing, I want to make it ports to trade with each other. In this port they don't establish trade routes. I have no idea how to make them do this ( I am in the discord group, but the section for the V. Enh Port is dead or too slow responding).

Hi @ahowls11s, I've been playing your mod since a year. And I modified the map_regiona, _typeterrain and _feutures maps. Mainly, in order to the provinces to have better roads between them, now more provinces are connected (but I kept in mind the idea of your map). Corrected provinces terriotories. For example some provinces had territory to a place where you can go only through passing to other province. So, now makes more sense.

I would be happy to share my work with you and explain in detail, what i've done (won't take much time).

Hi so i'm on about turn 100 on multiple campaigns and I keep checking diplomatic tab and it seems hardly anyone is ever at war, so I toggle_fow and can see all factions amass massive armies but they just stand around not doing anything, completely passive unless i'm invading someone then that faction will send armies to retake land and defend etc. I play on VH/VH is that the cause, is it programmed/balanced around another difficulty set up?

Hi ahowl11, awesome work with this. I've noticed that the water crossings from the original version of this mod are not present in the port (I've only tried to walk over to Sicily). Are you planning on changing them or leaving them as is? I don't really mind, I just thought it gave the AI a better chance in the campaign.

Will not let me switch over to remaster graphics in the campaign settings :/ Unless I'm doing something wrong.

Would there be future updates? could add a few new factions in asia minor, or else where if you want to keep vanilla feel but have new "cultures" Galatians and bithynia. pergamon would be cool as well as they played a big part in hellenistic history. Syracuse as well

@Kaiser, you need to toggle textures from classic to remastered or vice versa and the unit cards will show

That's up to you, personally I'd say it's not as bad as vanilla but its not like a RTR mod where units fight to the death all the time

Hi there, are you able to advise where I need to go to edit the unit stats? I want to start a Parthian campaign however I noticed the Cataphracts charge is only 25 when the Armenian equivalent is 49 so just looking to boost theirs up to that level? Thanks

Traits were never a focus, I just pulled them from another mod. I'll have Lusitanio from RIS look into it, and if a fix can be made i'll make a small update

I like this mod a lot! My biggest gripe is the "Sickness" traits. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to them, all my family members right now have them, and leaving them in settlements doesn't do anything. I don't know how they've been implemented, or if there's something wrong on my end, but they're pretty BS.

@Panzerk, it doesn't do anything but add text flavor, I looked into it a long time ago
@Lauato routes will always be provided as that's an internal mechanic, but Kydonia is not a trade_hub so it will not bring much, as you are witnessing. Doesn't mean it won't trade at all.

@ahowl: Thanks a lot for this great mod! I kept coming back to rtw vanilla for nostalgia, but never stayed long due to its issues. Your mod is awesome for players like me!

One thing that irritates me is the sea trade. I know it was mostly disabled for balancing purposes, but I would like to know if there is a pattern to which docks provide naval trade and which don't? Especially Kydonia (Crete) was weird. I build a dock there despite no trade-fleet being listed in the dock-desciption, but it provided a route anyway. An abysmal one, bringing in a mere 30 ducats, but still. Don't islands loose out on their utility if they are unable to trade (meaningfully)?

Back in 2009, there was "Archoan's Loyal Alies" A RTW original mod. Do you think it's possible or even worth it to port to Remastered?

I thought I included a link to the moddb page. I’ll update it next time I’m on my pc. I didn’t wanna go into extreme detail like I did before but the moddb page goes over the entire evolution of the mod so that everyone can know what it is and why it is the way it is, and how I got there. That’s also why I will never update or continue this mod because it was done in a few years time and sometimes you need to know when to stop

There are articles for each update that detail what this mod adds and changes. You're right that ahowl11 should probably have a better description on here. I know what this mod is so I am super excited to see it on here but people that don't know how excellent this mod is might pass it over.

@xXAlduin99, If you are talking about the grey peasant unit cards that's a Rome Remastered issue. In the Graphics Setting change the "Unit Colour Scheme" from Vibrant (Origonal) to Realistic. That should fix it. Keep that in mind because I think that is a thing with most mods that add/change units.

Yeah that's normal, you get all 4 vanilla families, so all their sons start appearing. Rome is the easiest faction to play, and should be the hardest to play against

Hi there, I must say this mod looks fantastic! However it seems that every time I start a battle, the graphics of the units reset to the old pixelated version of the origingal Rome Total War game. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue?
