the dagger just does slightly more damage and it makes it so enemys will not notice their friends are dead if you kill them without them knowing

I think the garnet would be the more uncommon bit to acquire since the most "reliasble" method is finding them in loot or enemies.

Yes. Except the dagger requires Fire Salts, a Gold Ingot, Iron Ingots, and a Garnet, and voila, an RPG Dagger!
