Let us continue this in english :)
If you want you can explain exact problem on paradox forum:
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/balkan-flavor-mod.1468166
I will then look it to it and do my best to resolve the issue so this can be compatible with MB+.
Thank you!
New version of mod is uploaded, i have changed Haemus Struggle phases, added some decisions, and fixed some bugs.
I didnt made too many progress with Haemus Struggle because Paradox announced adding Situations in next patch, so didnt want to spend too much time for nothing (like i did with commission icon decision last time, and they introduced their own decision for the same)...
Any case i hope you like it, and comments please let me know.
Yes, should be compatible with most of them. Please try it out and let me know any issues.
hvala!
Than you for the replay. Ah now i understand the reasoning why and who is involved.
For what i said
I thought that the Rashka with the slovanska religion was involved and I was wondering why the struggle was not progressing.
I tested again changing religion and reverting. On the decision that you added for "ending the endless struggle" One of the requirements is that you are involved after changing jewish or taltosist i am still involved because now 5% of the religion are in the struggle territory and i am still involved in the struggle
However, after progressing to hostile phase as orthodox, I am no longer able to complete the decision. As it shows that i am not involved, but the mechanic it self shows that i am involved.
Converting to any religion that does not have a lot of other counties will become involved
Thank you for your comment this has been fixed now, don't know how i didn't notice this sooner

Hello,
Thank you very much, really appreciate your comments.
Can you msg me a bit more precisely about these bugs? I would really like to investigate and resolve what you have mentioned.
I made this struggle that a culture of faith has to have at least 5% of the total number of counties beloning to it have to be inside struggle area. So Tengrisam to get involved it would be very hard as it has many countries outside of Balkan...
As for the bug, if you chanhed back to Orthodox, i belive you will get involved in next phase...
Struggle ending decision is not finished, so thats why you dont see anything special :) Its not suposed to be used for now, thats why i called it neverending struggle :)
when I start as Bulgaria and attack pagans i dont get the counter going up. When I click to check what will happen when ending the struggle it does not open.
As an emperor who has changed religion and reverted back to orthodox, i am no longer involved.
Would also love to see the Tengry religion involved as it is inside the start location.!
Great work would love to see this mod grow! Will be happy to test it for you.
Hello,
Mod will be updated by end of this week (probably Thursday/Friday)
I will make it possible to pick Patron Saing for all Christian religion but only for cultures with tradition Religious Patronage.
I believe that would be ok in history context.
Sorry but what is the point of your comment?
Mod is focused on Balkan Peninsula, not any culture specific.
Most of my work has to do with Serbia, as that is part which is more familiar to me, but i do try to include all Balkan cultures with modding...
If you have any specific suggestions im willing to take them in consideration.
But your curent comment is not appreciated nor usefull....
This mod was either made by someone who lived in Yugoslavia, or someone who doesnt know Balkan history older than 80 yrs.
You are welcome. Unfortunately I don't have anything on it besides the mention of Pope asking Boris Mihail for the armor he wore while he crushed the rebellion against the conversion.
As for decisions and events, I can add another thing related to to Christianization of Bulgaria which you can add a decision for whether they would be Catholic or Orthodox as it was certainly not set in stone at 867. They swinged between Constantinople and Rome for a while(East Franks were also somewhat involved at the very beginning) it was only after 870 the choice was made and even then Papacy tried to influence them.

You can implement it with a very simple decision involving only Bulgaria or make it into a full blown event chain involving Papacy, Franks, Patriarchate and Byzantine Empire.
Thank you for your detailed explanations.
I know some of the stuff you said, but im not focusing that much of changing vanila cultures and religions, as there are other mods that do it, and i belive they would do it better.
Im interested in part about armor you mentioned. Do you have any details about this?
Also i have a long list of events that i plan to add to this mod involving Bulgaria, and i hope i will do these, but any suggestions about events or decisions is appreciated.
Thank you.
You mean to add them to struggle?
I can also give a list of Slavic tribes from Byzantine and Bulgarian parts if you are interested in adding more families, give 2-3 tribe names for Bulgars that should still exist at 867, a couple or so for Dalmatian coast though honestly you can find most of them in wiki easily.
What you may not find so easily is: That even in late 9th century there were Gepids in exitence that lived in the Balkans (and Pannonia) living in Sirmia and Slavonia along Danube and Drava (there were also ones in Pannonia and Transylvanian ones may have kept existing as well)

According to De Administrado Imperia written in 950s, there were still Avars who were recognized as Avars in Croatia.

Much of Bulgaria apart from the capital should still be Pagan at this point, Conversion of Boris Mihail and his family happened only in 864, mere 2/3 years before start and he faced a rebellion in 865 because of it. Even 30 years later there were enough pagans to support Vladimir Rasate so Tengri (in Bolghar areas) and Slavic pagans should make a vast majority of the territory.
Boris Mihail should have an armor artifact, or rather, Pope should have an armor of Boris Mihail artifact because after he crushed the rebellion, Pope asked for his armor.

Bulgarian king title at this point should be Kanasubigi, IIRC, Simeon was to first to use Knyaz and he later used Tsar. Heir should have the title Kanartekin and another title used by members of the royal family was Vuiatarkan

PtI:
Parts of Bulgaria (roughly the Northeastern parts of the de Jure kingdom, the area of capital and parts of duchy of Bulgaria) should still retain "Bolghar" culture, actually Bulgarian culture as a fusion of the Slavic and Bulgar should probably not yet exist at 867 or just be in a few places, it was after the Christianization that the Turkic Bulgar element dissolved but lacking a Slavic culture that Bulgarian came from, Slavic parts should continue to be represented by Bulgarian. Bolghar and Bulgarian should therefore start with a high% of cultural acceptance
Ruling dynasty of Krum (Balgarsko in game) should still retain "Bolghar" culture but perhaps younger members, especially Simeon could be kept as Bulgarian.
I will take your arguments in consideration and investigate on this subject more, and maybe in the future change this.
Hope you enjoy this mod anycase :)
Sorry but im not convinced by that, the arguments you mentioned are mostly from Wikipedia and if you dont provide some stronger literature than that i cant accept your arguments as i read much literature on the subject and i cant agree with you.
Also as you use wikipedia you can also see that ,,The title of veliki kaznac (велики казнац, "grand kaznac") was later transformed into protovestijar and that being the equivalent to a "finance minister".
So Kaznac = protovestijar = finance minister, which should be steward in game
Kaznac was title for tax collector so i cant name spymaster like that...
As for tepcija it was similar as kaznac, but its unclear. I was unsure at start to put Kaznac or Tepcija as steward, but i found some record that tepcija went on some ,,diplomatic,, mission, so i put him as chancellor.
Of course if you have so lme arguments im willing to look at them and change this if needed.
i honestly haven't tried Princes of Darkness, so not sure. Please try it out and let me know.
glad that you like this, and any feedback is appreciated
A mod like this but for the baltics would also be great, like the lithuanians struggle against the german crusaders and the swedo-novgorodian wars around finland!
