I play the downloaded version and its fine. But you can install my Ressources Mod and Housing Mod, which are the 2 parts of Beginner Mod.
And if those also do not work, then I cannot help.

they do download automatically but randomly in time. so I unsuscribe them, load the game, quit, suscribe them and reload the game. I agree that is strange...^^

I did find a solution, if I unsub the mod before launch and resub while the game is loading, it works fine, which is just really weird, but it may help fixing the issue?

but try resources and housing mod, (which are just the 2 parts of beginner mod)

This mod keeps saying it's not up to date anymore and I can't fix it. I've tried unsubscribing, launching the game, closing, then resubbing, and it's not working.

this is actually Housing mod (where straw and reed houses are cheaper, and all houses will repair sooner with less resources needed)
and Resources mod (where resources and food last longer before they are rotten)
In one Mod together.

they work on 44.
if you have them already then you need to unsuscribe, start the game, leaf the game and suscribe again.
i know that is ...... but at least this way they work.

It should be safe to download now without troubles.
But you may have to start a new game. Don't know if it works with saves.
