Although as I'm using creature spawner It probably needs to added it to a mes spawn group 😂
Chipstix213  [author] 10 Sep @ 11:18pm
I've worked with Tiberious before, It's simple the planet creator just need to add the subtype to their planet generator and then add this mod as a dependency
I forgot to add manners to my message, apologies for that.

My friend Tiberious1 is a planet creator and a few of his planets are on the workshop, we have a star wars server we have and now the other admins are adding NPC's.

Id love it if you could please make these lil buggers work XD

if this is at all possible id be truly grateful
could you make this work with the planet Tatooine?
Chipstix213  [author] 10 Sep @ 2:52pm
I'm not going to use any hacks or old workarounds. The system in place rendering a NPC make any larger objects invisible if the root bone is off th screen (at least last time I tested). this made any large creatures flicker in and out of existence when near the edge of vision
keatoncampbell 10 Sep @ 1:34am
In regards to the fellow Fremen's inquiry... there's a workaround for big-npc's that was used in a game I used to play years ago... Computer just couldn't handle big models and big hitboxes like that back then.
The strat was to make one wide, flat model that was the "center" or "heart" of the npc, and the other parts of the npc were actually separate entities that would reflect damage back towards the main piece. There were definitely issues, but it can really help bring Shai'hulud to the desert planet.
I think that's also how the big worms work in factorio too, as that game's engine wasn't made for huge, larger-than-the-screen enemies.
Hope it help, love your work. Cheers!

In time, I have a lot to update.
Kitsuni 8 Sep @ 4:22pm
Will you be updating this to have them drop meat for the survival update?
Chipstix213  [author] 6 Jul @ 11:16pm
Nope, you can't make big NPC things the game engine doesn't like it
Bandet 6 Jul @ 3:28pm
Can you make a giant sandworm mod? Basically just bigger model and a big fat hp tank for fun. Bless the Maker and His water. Bless the coming and going of Him. May His passage cleanse the world. May He keep the world for His people.
Chipstix213  [author] 25 Mar @ 1:12am
It's not really a Ai enabled issue it's definitely a mes issue so try the mes discord instead
Deapri 24 Mar @ 5:03pm
@Engineer galaxy could you perhaps join the AiE discord server to get more in depth troubleshooting and be able to exchange logs and perhaps provide an example world file of the problem with minimal additional mods? (note if what I suspect is correct and it's in the storage settings files, the issue will not be reproducible for another user.)
Deapri 24 Mar @ 2:20pm
Might be as simple as removing the mes settings files to let new ones populate. (At this point I assume they have installed the mod on a preexisting game and the MES creature spawner setting didn't trip with the addition of Planet creatures.
Engineer galaxy 22 Mar @ 7:41am
I grilled the mod but it doesn't work I don't know what's wrong ((((
Chipstix213  [author] 22 Mar @ 12:17am
I won't do that, it's incredibly simple, you subscribe to the mod, add it to you world via in game menu and it will load.
Engineer galaxy 21 Mar @ 6:44pm
can you record a video on how to install the mod correctly and what to do to make the worms start appearing
Engineer galaxy 21 Mar @ 6:39pm
I entered the commands that you wrote, nothing happens
Chipstix213  [author] 21 Mar @ 3:44am
use command "/MES.GESAP" in the chat then paste the results into a notepad or similar if its working the sand worm spawn group should be at the end.
Engineer galaxy 21 Mar @ 3:10am
Well, I'm on the planet Pertam
Engineer galaxy 21 Mar @ 3:08am
and how to specify it? I just installed mods everything and waited until I was attacked, no one came or do I need to build a large base?
Deapri 20 Mar @ 1:06pm
I've definable seen them recently...
Chipstix213  [author] 20 Mar @ 12:55pm
Should work as long as it is the planet subtype is one listed and combat mode is disabled
Engineer galaxy 20 Mar @ 9:04am
how do they work on my pertam they never appeared?
Chipstix213  [author] 17 Nov, 2024 @ 12:20am
It was fixed before, I guess it's super fragile
Sterling Kerman 16 Nov, 2024 @ 11:58pm
Hm, you're right, spiders are also just as annoying. Do you know of any mods that fix that issue? Or is it just yet another backlogged low priority Keen fix.
Chipstix213  [author] 16 Nov, 2024 @ 11:47pm
That's a issue with the keen behaviour, the same thing happens to spiders
Sterling Kerman 16 Nov, 2024 @ 3:34pm
Any way to improve the hitboxes on these things? I swear I can never hit them. They seem completely invincible 90% of the time.

From what I can tell, most of the issue is they aren't shootable when they are doing their digging animation, which they are doing almost non-stop.
Chipstix213  [author] 16 Nov, 2024 @ 12:33am
I don't want people to get surprise worms because a planet has a bit of mars sand in its configuration. It has planets specifically chosen
JWickScari 15 Nov, 2024 @ 2:43pm
Any way to make this work on any planet categorized as alien or mars-like? I think it would be great to see these spawn alongside spiders and your other alien animals mod
dabdude 1 Nov, 2024 @ 5:16pm
i have mes a a, l c e+f, e a, and wreckage
dabdude 1 Nov, 2024 @ 5:10pm
i have 4 + sand worm
Chipstix213  [author] 29 Oct, 2024 @ 12:49am
Something seems to interfere with spawning, do you have a lot of MES mods?
dabdude 28 Oct, 2024 @ 4:58pm
i was on pretan for 2 hours and no sandworms
dabdude 28 Oct, 2024 @ 4:57pm
do the sand worms have a timed spawn
Chipstix213  [author] 17 Oct, 2024 @ 3:51am
That's certainly something...

Very creative video, almost monty python
Soulfood 16 Oct, 2024 @ 7:35am
It's so good to have a creature in SE other than the 6-legged bugs. Thanks for this! Two of your worms make an appearance in part 3 of my video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1MRIIGKOm4&list=PL-zbRw7CgFKXNY4KCvLXrkTBKVUjDsZNG&pp=gAQBiAQB
Chipstix213  [author] 22 Sep, 2024 @ 12:43am
Glad to hear that, thanks for checking. Good luck with finding the conflict. Could be some load order issues
Demaros 21 Sep, 2024 @ 8:27pm
Hey mate, just a quick update. I've done some testing and can confirm that Sandworms do spawn on Satreus. I tested with only the planet, victims of clang and sandworm mods (plus dependencies) and it all worked as intended. Something about my mod-list is causing them not to spawn but I haven't figured out what just yet.

So yeah, nothing wrong with your mod it's user error :D Thanks for all your help
Chipstix213  [author] 15 Sep, 2024 @ 12:48am
I think because it shows up in /MES.GESAP everything is set correctly perhaps there is another mod that is changing the spawn priority
Chipstix213  [author] 14 Sep, 2024 @ 11:52pm
Ideally uploaded to steam and message me on discord
Demaros 14 Sep, 2024 @ 4:54pm
I checked the subtype ID and it looks correct. How do you want me to send the world to you?
Chipstix213  [author] 12 Sep, 2024 @ 3:41am
I would have to have a copy of your world for testing. Best guess is I don't have the right planet subtype
Demaros 12 Sep, 2024 @ 3:17am
The vanilla spiders are spawning without issue (no manual commands), but the Sandworms don't spawn at all either with or without commands.
Chipstix213  [author] 12 Sep, 2024 @ 2:03am
What do you mean naturally?
If they are spawning what is the issue? Is it planet specific problem?
Demaros 12 Sep, 2024 @ 1:42am
Not sure if this helps but spiders do spawn naturally
Demaros 10 Sep, 2024 @ 2:53pm
Yep, I get the message onscreen that the command was sent, but still nothing happens.
Chipstix213  [author] 10 Sep, 2024 @ 5:21am
Have you tried /MES.SC to force a creature spawn?
Demaros 10 Sep, 2024 @ 3:51am
Nope combat phase is disabled in the settings.
Chipstix213  [author] 9 Sep, 2024 @ 11:19pm
Check if combat mode is enabled, you don't get animals is it on.
Demaros 9 Sep, 2024 @ 5:48pm
Hey Mate, I'm having an issue spawning the worms on Saterus, they don't spawn either naturally or manually. Using /MES.GESAP shows Pertam_Sandworm is eligible to spawn yet nothing happens when using /MES.SC.Pertam_Sandworm.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
