This mod has a pretty massive performance cost. It runs a monthly check on every province in the game, and if I am not mistaken, monthly pulses are not all dumped on the first of the month. They happen throughout the month. Which means that by about the 1840s, you will notice major chunking.

Swapping to a yearly pulse helps enormously.

Basically, open the mod up, go to common/on_actions open the txt file new_homelands_on_actions and change the first line from on_monthly_pulse_country to on_yearly_pulse_country. Now instead of checking each country and every single province every month, it will be every country and every province once per year.

Yeah this happened to me aswell, Bohemia became a South German Homeland and Germany got stuck as the North German Federation lol - i suggest adding like a timer or something, like an event saying the homeland is being made first and when the time runs out, it actually becomes one idk, but like at least make it so these kind of things dont break the game

This mods breaks forming of Germany if the AI doesn't form it fast enough, as the requirements are 27-4 (the austrian provinces), but once Bohemia and other lands get assigned South German homeland The requirement increases beond what historical German Empire needed. So the AI gets permanently stuck as North German Confederation which has no other objectives besides unifying Germany, but it won't conquer Bohemia and others to be able to do so.

Okay so i'm not sure here but i have both open borders and multiculturalism and i have stopped getting any migration at all, it's a permanent 0. I think this may be a result of simply having too many homelands in a state as other states in the world seem to still have migration. Im not sure it's this thats causing it as i have Morgenröte and many of Grey's mods so i'll be milling over those as well but i suspect this may be be the cause.

@Luca and everyone: Sorry, this mod haven't been updated for 1.8 yet! I've been taking a break from Vic3 lately, so please deactivate it until the mod is updated.

This mod causes a problem with Germany's Unification. South German homelands get added to a lot of provinces Austria controls, Bekes/Banat, the Transylvanias, all of Croatia, Slovakia, etc. Then, when Prussia/NGF inevitably does a unification play, it goes after those provinces as well. Had a Romania playthrough ruined because NGF wanted to conquer Bekes, Banat, and my vassal Serbia's Delvidek, which doesn't make any sense. Maybe add a limitation to prevent North and South German homelands from being created, at least until after Germany itself is formed.

If Save CPU mode is used, it becomes difficult to set up Germany. Because the number of German provinces to capture increases. Is there any way to prevent this?

This will make a China playthrough insane, when i played them and colonized africa the han population outnumbered the locals in just a couple of months/years ^^,

For non-primary cultures I don't have plans to make a separate version yet, but if you'd like to try it now all you need to do is to change 'random_primary_culture' to 'random_scope_culture' in the event file.
