this mod needs to be updated to the latest version, otherwise it wont work
Starfroxy 6 Jul, 2019 @ 2:16pm
Awesome but when I put it on mod it doesn't show up:steamsad:
SupaBob 2 Jan, 2017 @ 10:10am
This is awesome. Thanks

Port: Left Red. Starboard: Right Green. I have a similar, very cool looking, larger design, multi function ship with command center and all that, really takes 2 people or more to operate, with 4 auxillery ships, Fighter, Drill, Sustaining Support Ship, Atmospheric Lander...How do I upload it to steam workshop? Spent about 100 hours total on the one ship.
Zed Wolfword 29 Dec, 2015 @ 11:44am
A very good design. Best one I've seen so far.
SynapticBoomstick 27 Oct, 2015 @ 9:41pm
A very efficient, functional design and a clever use of pistons and tools, the lander/drill combo alone earned this a upvote.
beb64 4 Jun, 2015 @ 10:31am
i dont knw if it just my game but my landing gear and front part of ship sometimes just basts off my ship
Горячий Павел 29 May, 2015 @ 11:14pm
this space ship is quite large advantages
abordoli 2 Feb, 2015 @ 6:02am
Question: Does this respawn ship "ADD" to the list of vanilla respawn ships and other "ADD" respawn ships or does it replace the entire list? Thxs in advance.
Maxter1o2 24 Dec, 2014 @ 8:43am
Nice work on this love the Detail =) Merry Christmas to you Or Happy Holidays to you and your Family

The OFSV II is now uploaded to the workshop just in time for the holidays. I'll leave this version up for those that like it. :)
Fluffy The Destroyer 21 Dec, 2014 @ 5:21am
This is funny, I tried the same technique with 1 landing pad and 18 drills... I ended up with losing my landing pad and crashing on the side of the asteroid ... 3 destroyed drills lol
dontstoplivin  [author] 20 Dec, 2014 @ 11:44pm
Attention: There is a new version of this vessel that will be completed tomorrow. I have done my best to integrate new features where applicable, as well as sort out a few issues. The OFSV II should be superior to the OFSV I, without being overpowered. For those that like original, I will be posting the OFSV II as a new Respawn Ship mod, and posting a link to it in this mod's main description. I know it has taken me far longer than anticipated to create this update, and I thank you for your patience. I hope the new version will be worthy of all that waiting.
Ullischgeflumms 13 Dec, 2014 @ 11:09am
please post the link of this creation into the forum for "exploration-call players created content" you find it on the space engineers forum under suggestions
Fluffy The Destroyer 10 Dec, 2014 @ 5:33am
did you try to use an advanced rotor before the drill so you can maneuver that drill a bit more ?
Killawat 16 Nov, 2014 @ 2:31pm
I really like this. One thing though.. Your navigation lights are on the wrong sides. Red's not right is how I've always remembered. Otherwise great job!
Ariano 8 Nov, 2014 @ 9:14am
Do you know when we can look forward to an update to this? Very nice ship design, well thought out. That banging in the front will result in the whole front of the ship exploding/ripping off if you continue to gain speed. Your ship deserves a better end than that, for sure.
cptsavarus 6 Nov, 2014 @ 5:02pm
This is a really well thought out design! You've thought of everything. Fantastic job! I've been using mining ships with the 3-piston concept for a while & have to say it works beautifully. I also have a great design for a dual headed carousel type tool head that'd incorporate welders and grinders but finding a way to almalgamate all 3 tool sets is tricky. You've negated that problem entirely by sticking with just one of each type... and discovered the added bonus of a self-repairing drill to boot. I love that! Your build brings me one step closer to figuring out a way to make mine work... so thanks! And seriously well done for the amazing attention to detail! The only thing you're missing is retracting ventral landing gear. Still working on a decent solution to that... I have a feeling you may get there first though if you haven't already!

Reckon you deserve a favourite for this anyway. Nice job!
Radar the Samoyed 1 Nov, 2014 @ 5:43pm
I keep eharing a very small but repeated banging noise like soemthing is loose o3o
ehertz 21 Oct, 2014 @ 3:26pm
I am trying to rebuild this ship cuz it isnt showing up in the mod list or in my respawn list.
and i am wondering where you put the 2 - Refineries and 2 assemblers?
the ship design is awesome!!!!
dontstoplivin  [author] 30 Sep, 2014 @ 9:02pm
I am still working on a new version. Lets just say that it is a slow process. The version you see now was something like version 30 before I was happy enough with it to release it.
JayMole77 30 Sep, 2014 @ 7:43pm
Had this happen on our peer to peer gaem my friend and I play so its not just server related.... Its MP in general. I was trying to discover where the banging was coming from, had tested the extension and rtraction of pistons and when I tried grinding down the drill piston the entire ship exploded into peices, I had not mined either so it couldn't have had stuff inside the drill or piston. Shame really as my friend has just said what a great respawn it was and we should merge it to save it and he had sat in one of the passenger seats.... Needless to say he died and I had to find a medbay to bandage myself up LOL
dontstoplivin  [author] 24 Sep, 2014 @ 7:10pm
Yea, I had that happen once, and it was in listen server MP, not even dedicated.
Hammer Hands 23 Sep, 2014 @ 1:10pm
Yeah, Love the design, not sure what the thing with the pistons is. Apparently it only happens if the piston has been extended and retracted. I was running fine until I decided to remodel the ship and change things to suit my next stage of survival so this time the piston I had not used ground down fine, but the one I had used exploded and literally nuked the entire ship and took out a 50m crater in the roid I was parked behind, I wish i had gotten video cause it didn't kill me. just left me sitting there next to a giant crater holding my grinder and looking at a spinning connector.
dontstoplivin  [author] 23 Sep, 2014 @ 12:29pm
Thanks for the testing DHB. The issue with the exploding bits is a known one, though I have not been able to revisit this ship for a redesign lately. It is on the agenda so hopefully it will get a rework soon.
Hammer Hands 23 Sep, 2014 @ 11:41am
Ok, further testing, i pulled the landing gear pistons off, and replaced them with large armor blocks, Stops all vibration and allows for normal drilling. So looks like the vibration transfer from piston to piston still happens even from locked landing gear now.
Hammer Hands 23 Sep, 2014 @ 10:47am
So, just tested this on my dedicated server. The first time I tried to drill with landing gear deployed I locked them out. Put drill on, extended it into the roid. When it reached max length the drill exploded and locked the piston out. Soon as I left pilot seat to go inspect what was there the whole ship violently bounced around to the point of killing me from being slammed around so much.

Respawned in med bay and went out to check. Ground drill piston which instantly exploded killing me again and blowing out the right landing gear. Respawned into a ship bouncing around so badly you couldn't even get to it.

Nice concept, but seems to have issues with dedicated servers I think. Not sure.
TheSimReaper 21 Sep, 2014 @ 8:42am
Ok with regards to the banging, I'v narrowed it down to the piston to the right of the drill piston, but trying to grind it is disasterous :S
mid endian 19 Sep, 2014 @ 7:01pm
just want to thank you for helping me crack the code, for displaying your respawn ship as a seperate item. seems we're still stuck with the default ships, but those can at least be renamed now.
dontstoplivin  [author] 19 Sep, 2014 @ 8:01am
Updating it now. I think I have it sorted but let me know if its still borked. The cooldown should be set to 30 minutes and I made a few tweaks including: Reversing the red/green lights, and adding 0.5 meter mnimum on the drill piston.
Resus 19 Sep, 2014 @ 12:24am
Does the recent update broke it? It doesn't seem to work.
Joseph Sneed 18 Sep, 2014 @ 3:24pm
Cant get it to work. I have the mod put in but I only get the normal respawn ships.
Tokamak 18 Sep, 2014 @ 1:11pm
And it appears nobody watched the video. It explains that as being the pistons, and he says he has never experienced problems with it. I, myself, have had quite a few ship explosions due to the pistons at 50 m/s or more.
Otaku 17 Sep, 2014 @ 5:17pm
Ship look very good, cant wait to see what you can do with the updates
TheSimReaper 16 Sep, 2014 @ 9:02pm
I think you may have a slight design fault. While flying this ship there was a continuos banging sound, and at one point while accelerating forward, there was an explosion on the fron left of the ship and it blew the left landing gear clean off, but the ship itself is awsome :)
Her0117 16 Sep, 2014 @ 3:42pm
how do you spawn it in
Nik 16 Sep, 2014 @ 10:08am
Not sure what it is, but whenever I spawn one of these, there's a slow banging that happens about once a second, as you fly around. Again, I can't figure out what's causing it, probably just a stupid glitch with pistons or something we can't do anything about.. :/
TheSimReaper 16 Sep, 2014 @ 8:17am
erm, were do I get this mod?
HIKARU 15 Sep, 2014 @ 9:15am
Very nice mod!
Dark_453 12 Sep, 2014 @ 9:31pm
What Ship- does this replace or is it a new Ship- ( i as as i use my own )
jtgibson 11 Sep, 2014 @ 11:12pm
@Sebastifurr: I always found myself wanting to put the red position light on the right, because "R"ed for "R"ight... But no! I also always found it strange because knowing the marine right of way rules, you'd think they'd put the red light on the right so that when oncoming, you'd know you're on the wrong side and correct until you saw the green light. But also no!

It's hard to forget red/port, green/starboard after ruminating on it for so long, but it still makes no sense to me -- other than tradition of course. =)
Fin_Corso 11 Sep, 2014 @ 8:51pm
two thumbs way up!
Calruin 11 Sep, 2014 @ 8:08pm
Great Ship!
TinkerHat 11 Sep, 2014 @ 5:49pm
make my ship respawn ships
Sebastifer 11 Sep, 2014 @ 4:53pm
Cool ship, however, looks like port and starboard lights are the wrong way arround :)
N1njaM4ster255 11 Sep, 2014 @ 4:51pm
how did you get the ship set up as a respawner so you can load it into a game i want to be able to do that for a ship of my own design (it uses small ships for the utility functions finally possible with the new update) but i dont want to have to copy and paste all the time
Cpt. Roosto 11 Sep, 2014 @ 3:16pm
Thank you very much for this addition. Very cool and well-built. Out of all the ships I see in the Workshop, this one is one of the most useful. Keep up the good work!
Polygon_Dust 11 Sep, 2014 @ 2:11pm
Very nice!!!!! Not for me personally, but i still think its great!!!!!!!!!!!
Hitori 11 Sep, 2014 @ 1:54pm
You forgot to mention the simple fact that you can grind the drill while welding it at same time (haha), otherwise it's a good design for a survival/starter ship, personally i preffer useing specialiced ships tho as they tend to do the task faster.
