@awk1582 Maybe same here. My navy never get any recruit. Even in the port. To make it clear, it was played on July 12, 2025.

I seem to have encountered a bug. Recently started a game as United States, only had this mod active, United States navy had zero ships, and despite having max military spending, could not recruit new ships.

Hi, does this mod allow upgrading submarines into carriers? I assumed it would, but I'm not getting the option to, and I don't see it in your list in the description (as far as I can understand).

Thanks for your speedy reply. I have very few mods. The only gameplay mods are cold water ports and the battle of alamo. I can't see how they should be conflicting with this mod?

It just says i cant upgrade them because they are too different.

Should I be able to change monitors to destroyers, then destroyers to torpedo boats? I swear I could do that in earlier patches using this mod, or am i crazy?

The mod itself doesn't cause the 0 mp navy bug. The comes from the main timber and steel mod, so I suppose we gotta wait until it gets fixed.

Installed this mod and it fixed the 0 hire bug I guess it must've been from another mod that was fking it up for me

Ships don't gain Manpower for me, they stay at 0.
I'm only using this mod.
when I disable the mod, they regain manpower again.

I think it makes sense. They're talking about "Upgrade" but you're not upgrading. You're replacing legacy tech. So phasing out old ships and replacing them with new ships makes perfect sense. If you can "Upgrade" Frigates to Ironclads... it's once again.. phasing out old ships and replacing them with new ones.

Not sure carriers are a side upgrade. Carriers are 160 Offense 60 Defense. Submarines are 60 Offense, 20 Defense. But yea, one is for raiding efficiency, the other for defense convoys.

3)In a sense that's not an upgrade but a "side grade", i wish the game would allow you to use both submarines and carriers at the same time but that is kinda beyond the scope of this mod

I wasnt able to turn submarines into carriers with your mod enabled. Is that something that SHOULD be able to happen? I know it sounds ridiculous but your mod says upgradable EVERYTHING.

It doesn't work for me too i think it has compebility issues with some mods i have divergances, synthetic oil and rubber, power plant not local and transportation not local

I'm not sure if it's this mod or not, but it looks like the upgrading in armies is bugged now, as you're not able to switch the unit type (so from line infantry to skirmish, for example) in order to upgrade, so you can only upgrade by making a new army or hitting the big "upgrade every unit that can be upgraded" button on the main military page.

I tried this with the Ultra Historical mod series and got a super weird bug. The game would just add hundreds of conscripts to my armies and create new armies and when you would try and delete them it would add them back. Unplayable due to that.

Thanks for this mod! I was just making one myslef :) And as for 'unrealistic', it is totally unrealistic that now you need to raze naval barracks to the ground, fire all sailors in order to upgrade your ships.. In this game as it's currently is, physical ships don't exist, only their barracks/shore bases. When you loose a ship in battle you just need to replenish sailors, and not build a new ship
