I think its excesive, especially when it messes with the black color its just too much, but I like this pattern, maybe reimagine the design

It's just waaaaay too much fam. I think it would look a lot better of you made his sleeves and undershirt wool rather than the whole vest as it looks a bit off. And the paint region is not good. I would highly suggest you make it a small detail. Otherwise i do sense potential.

I dislike this because it removes a lot of the contrast from Demoman's normal character design, with the cosmetic equipped the team colour becomes overwhelming.

Plan style is far above the others as it looks like an armored vest of some sort. The others do not work, like what are they supposed to be? Glasgow Bankrolled did this better by just leaving the vest alone.

Plain style is my personal fave, other two are okay but seeing demoman without a dark vest just looks really weird to me, makes him look naked.

In another universe valve made proper phong masks for the cloth on the mercs and these didn't have to be shiny :steamsad:

Nice job on the slate, sure it's kinda blue, but the red is the major color in the sweater.
