If you have scene hierarchy enabled try turning that off. It reportedly breaks some bits of override materials.
Doesn't matter all that much anyway as they don't get used by any included models. For now just ignore them I suppose.
also once this is resolved, how exactly do i make it a slider?
Could of sworn I updated it.
Check your workshop files on disk and see if the proper metal and rune materials are there. I'll updated it again if they aren't.

It's modcap with poor voice acting and even worse writing. Any fighting that does take place often looks even worse than the awkward modcap because the animation lacks any weight.
Your animation often looks better.
