Yes it was taken down, at MW mod author's request. I haven't played MW in ages, I'll try to figure it out next time I play it. Turns out 1212 is a lot of fun and has excellent bug fix mods already XD

Nah the dev of the MW main mod has advices against, shut down and chastised StartPOS editing. And that is within his rights, it’s his mod.

He doesn’t want any bug that aren’t caused by himself that could undermine the mod’s reputation. Fair

You could make the merc Epirus swords upgrade into epriote guards, the jav/sword hybrid guys in the epirus roster, that'd be neat

as to the un-utilized units... actually it's not much, and most of them are actually from MK1212 mod, not sure what I would do with those

huh? All this mod does is removing the vanilla mechanism that disables roman/byzantine legacy technology. I'll add a pic to specify. there, that should do it

Also, Working on a unit roster and tech unlock submod for MW. The base mod isn't exactly well polished when it comes to military buildings and units upgrade. Overall there is little incentive to research military techs, and many already finished amazing units weren't implemented into campaign gameplay. I'd lik eto rectify that, starting with, of course, Nicaea.
