Looks so badass in higher wears, but surprisingly not so for my taste in factory new (still really good, don't get me wrong).
Which is interesting, considering lots of warpaints tend to look like shit if weared down, some creators don't even show how it looks like outside FN.
I have made something similar recently, but not so communist-related.
But here's the problem, I don't think you understand TF2's artstyle that well. It's not cartoony, it's much more of "realistic materials redone with brushstrokes", which seems to be done on the black texture, as well as on the brown wear.
Likewise, the textures here aren't at all overly serious, they fit other warpaints you can see in game. These have always been a bit "off" in terms of their style, due to the amount of details seen, but that's been a problem ever since Gun Mettle when valve themselves made very off-putting decorated weapons. This one is much more fitting than many other skins, and actually fit such weapons as Liberty Launcher or the Reserve Shooter.
And finally, I've skimmed through the TF2 maps and around 25 (tried not to include halloween reskins) maps have a grassy/foresty setting. I thin it's enough to warrant a green color.
